Hey all, I will be in Amsterdam on March 16th and March 17th. I would love to go to an Eredivisie game on this matchday. I know some of the big teams like Ajax and Feyenoord are on the road, so I was hoping you could reccomend which of these games would have the best atmosphere. I don’t care too much about the quality of the teams, more about the atmosphere. Thanks!
If you arrive on the 15th in Amsterdam, you could go to Jong Ajax – Jong PSV, or some other KKD (2nd division (more vibes)).
But FC Volendam – AZ could be a fun match, especially with AZs current form, and it is only like 1 bus ride away from Amsterdam. Sparta (the team playing against Ajax) has a very iconic stadium with a castle and is close by in Rotterdam, so that could be a very nice visit, there you will also see the goalkeeper that will win the Euros with the Netherlands this summer.
Just make sure to check the ticket prizes of the trains towards the cities and the busses to the stadiums, because that can get quite expensive. Like Fortuna Sittard is very far away, and even Heerenveen and Vitesse are very fast to reach from Amsterdam I think.
