Modric strikes me as having a harder time accepting the fact that age takes its toll in comparison to Kroos.

Isnt he a little bit too good to be a coach still? I mean yes maybe not for our first team, but he could still be in starting eleven of lets say sevilla, valencia, etc.
I don’t really understand why everybody sees Modric as gone already. Yes he is old but that doesn’t mean that he could not gain a better form. Ronaldo’s form improved for Portugal NT after he left Manchester. Benzema had his best season much older than Toni Kroos. I trust Ancelotti though, and he seems to know more than he tells us about him. It’s quite clear to me that he lost trust in him this season. Rodrygo had a lot of weak matches this season but Ancelotti never stopped using him (which was the right call considering our attacking options). Sadly Modric is not wanted anymore by neither the coach and higher up… I hope Toni won’t feel like retiring too if Modric does (they are very close)
