This morning I was translating Tablet 6 of the Gilgamesh Epic. In ll. 172-175 it’s said:
“Who is the most handsome of the young ones, who is the most splendid of the men? – Gilgamesh is the most handsome of the young ones, Gilgamesh is the most splendid of the men!”
While translating the passage, Jude’s picture scoring and celebrating inmediatly came to my mind.
