The board already rejected Theo and stated that “we are already in another operation” according to Ramon Alvarez.

It’s pretty much done that we are getting Davies coming summer but I would like see what are your opinions. Should we have instead gone for Theo?

  1. I love Theo so would have preferred him. But now I’m getting used to the thought of Phonzie coming here so I guess I have to watch him more to see what kind of a player he is.

  4. Honestly even though Theo is better, I think him coming back to Madrid he’ll get too comfortable. Davies would probably be more motivated to improve being in a foreign country.

  5. Don’t know the guy but Davies has speed, age and if his defensive capabilities are shit(supposedly), playing for Madrid will change that. Also he knows French so that’s a plus Team chemistry wise since Yoro(rumor), Mendy, Tchou, Cama and Mbappe(maybe) are here, played with Alaba too.

  6. A big plus with Theo is that he plays cb as well, so that’s an added advantage.

  7. Definitely Theo. He’s truly a madridista and I don’t think Davies is much better than him. I think a lot of people will be surprised by Davis level (I’m hot saying that he’s a bad player at all) is just that he’s being overrated.

  9. Theo but won’t say no to Davies either but right now Theo is undisputed best LB on the planet, can play CB, Bale like vibes from him I get.

  11. Theo, any day of the week. Davies is great but more injury prone and even less concentrated on the defense. Comeback of Theo would be great but if not, let’s secure Davies

  13. Assuming his injuries won’t be a problem, Davies is way better than Theo in almost every aspect. Only injuries would tilt the balance.

  16. Theo. No doubt. I dont undertand why arent we getting him. Less injury prone + good connection with the french players. Much more balanced and if mbappe comes backline will need to do more deffending

  18. I dont care if its theo or davies just get us a good lb then camavinga can go back to the midfield instead of playing LB or we dont sign a RB and we play camvinga RB instead

  23. I would be really happy with either, because those two are top two in their position. However if it was upto me I would have preferred Theo over Davies, because Theo is more defensively strong than Davies.

  26. Theo is going to cost way more. Davies is in the last year of contract and Bayern always give us a good deal. Truthfully I’d prefer Theo but Phonzie is a better deal. We will be spending a lot on Mbappe

  28. Theo everyday. He’s better than Davies defensively talking and he’s also a former la fabrica player, so It would be nice to have him back, like Hakimi for the right side. We had the 2 best future left and right back in the game back in 2020 and we let them both leave for pennies

  29. Davies is so fast both in short and long sprints, something I don’t think is represented well in stats, he takes a 70/30 pass from the opposition and just intercepts it to win possession without even struggling.

    I think Davies still being young is awesome too, he’s got 3 or 4 seasons before he hits his peak and another 5 of high level football before even considering offloading him, would be an incredible investment if it’s for the right price

    I’m still pissed off that we let him go all that time ago. 😂

    Would love for us to have Hakimi back too.
    But I’m not too opposed to Davies. People complain all the time that he isn’t a good defender but people used to say the same for Marcelo too.
