Spanish farmers clash with police as they protest against ‘insufficient state aid’

Farmers have been protesting for weeks across European countries, most recently including Poland, Greece and the Czech Republic. They all call for a reduction of bureaucracy linked to the European Union’s Common Agriculture Policy and a loosening of the bloc’s environmental rules.

  3. Una pregunta. Si los policias y militares son pagados con los impuestos del pueblo y los trabajadores en general. Por qué ellos no defienden a la gente? Defienden a los politicos que reprimen a los pueblos?

  8. These crayon chewers are only throwing a tantrum because they’ve been told they simply have to spend a bit of their (absolutely humongous) subsidies on preventing their industry from poisoning the planet quite as much instead of just hoarding the money they’re given.

    I have no sympathy for them and frankly they deserve it for consistently voting for conservative parties that are always going to shaft them financially.

  15. Those police wouldn’t be able to fight so well if not for the farmers food to sustain them nor the taxes raised by farmers & the rest of us taxpayers used to finance their weapons
