Caicedo will come as an extraordinary player… although it would’ve been interesting seeing him playing alongside Rice.
They definitely dodged a bullet with Mudryk though.
Super glad LFC didn’t get Caicedo. He’s a decent DM but paying £100mil+ for someone who’s only talent is tackling…. No thanks.
Every club has examples of someone they were pursuing, failed to sign, then the guy ended up being a bit of a flop wherever they ended up signing.
Arsenal aren’t the first and they won’t be the last. Yes they dodged a couple of major bullets by not spending as much as Chelsea did but I don’t think something that’s as common as I described in the previous paragraph requires an entire article.
#Indeed!
As a CFC fan agreed these two kids are not half decent for the money paid to their clubs!
But Arsenal didn’t win anything. Please win something other than a FA Cup and do clout!
The Chelsea fumbles have been wild lately
Nah man football is deeper than this. These two could well have fitted into our team perfectly. How a team is coached and the general vibe around the club can have a massive impact on player performance, especially young new signings. I reckon these 2 under Arteta would have been brilliant, though I am happy with Trossard and Jorginho!
Makes up for Havertz
Nah, either one would be excellent at Arsenal, where they would have had more experienced players and leaders around and wouldn’t have had to learn to integrate with so many new players all doing the same.
Caicedo has looked lost and truly bad this season far too many times. It’s hard to reconcile the Chelsea Caicedo with the Brighton Caicedo.
They joined a broken team , a team that is in transition still trying to find their new identity . New players need time to adjust , changes of coaches doesn’t help .
They both would have done well at Arsenal since unlike Chelsea it’s a team with a plan not just a bunch of individuals on ridiculously long contracts
Everything that has gone wrong with them is Poch based. The man has a fraudulent reputation with youth based off getting a tune out of Dele Alli for two seasons.
Caicedo from what I’ve seen has his merits. Mudryk is hilariously bad and I’m loving every moment of it
but you cant say that , as much as i dont rate Arteta as a manager , how can you say mudryk or caicedo wouldnt be playing a lot better in a different team
I still don’t understand how Chelsea paid supposedly 100mil all up for Mudryk when he had only played like one season in a top Ukrainian league.
What in the hell.
Power to him, and although he’s not a 100mil player IMO (who can live up to that anyway) he has been okay. Just nothing special.
Must be a slow news day. Why is the sub getting filled with these articles.
That’s the difference of having a good DoF makes. When the price and wage demand become too high, you move on to other transfer targets. Reckless spending like Chelsea and Man Utd only leads to failure.
Hate the way people talk about Caicedo, he’s more a player who walked into a terrible situation than simply been poor. Poch is kind of useless he’d perform a lot better at either Liverpool or Arsenal.
That said he had a stinky debut.
This is a bullshit take. Those players are in a bad situation and would have settled and developed differently (better) in the current Gooner setup.
Idk about that. Chelsea bought a bunch of players with talent that don’t fit the system at all. If these guys find the right system they might be able to actually excel. Billion dollar bottle job.
Anybody with an eye for talent could see Caicedo wasnt worth the money
He should actually be criticised way more he’s gotten away with multiple red/orange cards – that brighton set up has fooled so many people, not saying there isnt talent there but theres alot of talent there that are made to look better cause of the system
Mudryk is a victim of his pricetag
Liverpool also put in a huge bid for Caciedo. I have a feeling it was to drive his price up to screw over a rival a little more. The Liverpool board doesn’t pay out that kinda money.
They have been poor no doubt. Doesn’t mean they would have been poor at another club though.
