Strong winds force plane to abort landing at Heathrow Airport

A plane arriving at London’s Heathrow Airport on Monday (February 26) aborted landing after struggling with heavy crosswinds.

Video from Flight Focus 365, a live-streaming service from the airport, showed the aircraft appearing unsteady as it approached the tarmac, before briefly touching down and taking off again.

According to local media, the British Airways aircraft traveling from Berlin managed a safe landing on the second attempt.

  1. That happened to me flying into la guardia, aborted landing huge gust of wind pushed us off runway 10 feet from landing. Thought I was going to die and get sick with all the turbulence. Worst feeling ever!
