Why are we crying about the most standard, completely safe tactical foul? It was rightfully called and received a yellow. Vini’s reaction was totally unnecessarily, no need to try and justify it. I love the club and Vini as well, and defend him whenever appropriate, but in this case it isn’t.
Madrid’s cantera is actually the top provider of first division players in Spain and Europe. But few make it to RM’s starting 11. Barca’s Massias are over-hyped right from the moment they debut because they immediately play in the Barca’s starting 11. All the way back to Bojan, to current players like Ansu Fati, Pedri, Nico, Gavi… and they all end up in just that, a great new talent only to be average after. We’ll see with Lamine Yamal and Cubarsi.
