If a republican was the sponsor of the discharge petition effort I would have a little hope this might work. It’s a bad sign that no republican was even willing to stick their neck out far enough to own the petition. Without getting about 15 republicans on-board this won’t go anywhere.
Unfortunately, all the republican representatives know that their political careers are over if they in any way support a Ukraine bill.
Seems like this is something that might actually be useful to contact one’s representatives about. Though I assume almost all dems will sign this eventually.
Edit: Already up to 84 signatures just an hour later…
No aid for isreal, give whatever we would normally give to them to Ukraine.
