It’s still a successful season overall, no one denying that.
But performing under our usual level, so many things could’ve done better to prove ourselves to Europe, we messed up. It damn hurts.
When is inzaghi going to play frattesi and barella in the midfield together instead of mihki. I love mihki and what he has able to do for us the last two years at the end of his career but in 2024 he’s been constantly putting in bad performances, giving possession away very easily, has not been making the right decisions on the ball causing a lot of those mistakes and giveaways, and in the final third has found almost no success unlike last season where his performances in UCL helped us get to the final.
Fratte in my honest opinion deserves the chance to start and try to make the difference. He was Italys top goal scorer in 2023 and this season has 9 goal contributions in all comps surpassing this number at Sassuolo but has still struggled to get into the starting role over mihki. This is just my opinion I love Inzaghi and he’s done amazing work with this team but this is one of the flaws that is really frustrating seeing especially after yesterdays terrible performance where I think Inzaghi tactics and the mindset that they went into the game with was just terrible and reminds me of Juve when I see us one goal up and just trying to play for the game sitting back and not being the deadly dominant team we’ve been all season.
