  2. Depends on the cause. There was a recently a passenger jet here in the US that did this, it landed safely, don't recall what the cause was but they fixed it and the plane actually left again and flew safely to its destination with no problem. But I saw videos taken from the ground and you'd think it was going to explode and crash.
