On a visit to Sheffield today, Prince William visits a housing workshop where he meets those who have gone through homelessness, and speaks with business leaders who want to tackle homelessness. Report by Matthew Covell.

  16. Housing is an essential need for a human being. It’s access to water, hygiene, nutrition, rest, safety and connection to society. It’s not the be all to healing but the foundation on which healing can happen. It allows the individual the hope & the chance to enter the other steps they need to address. Homelessness is trauma and it is devastating to the family and friends who cannot help. It breaks the soul of a person and many self medicate or fall prey to mental health issues. It is complex and the Prince, if he truly cared would have the billions in land the royal family owns given to families in need. They have too much and give less than half. They do not do enough nor truly understand the state people are suffering.
