[GdS] “I’ll make you black” According to Francesco Acerbi, these are the words misunderstood by Juan Jesus. This has also been told to Inter who do not want to be associated with racism.

  1. For non Italians it means “I will beat the shit out of you” in italian

  2. Ti faccio nero (di botte) is an extremely common thing to say in Italian. It means to bang you out, basically. I’ll beat you up. The “nero” (di botte) denotes black (with bruises).

I’ll cover you with black bruises.

Now…do I believe this recount? I don’t. Jesus must hear “nero di botte” all the time having lived in Italy for this long. It’s very unlikely he misheard this. But it’s true that this phrase is common in altercations.

  3. I don’t know if I bekeive this. Like why didn’t he just come out and say this? It’s such a common saying everyone would have believed it.

  4. I don’t believe it. Purely because, if this what was said, why did it take so long mention?

This feels like brainstorming on how to escape from a bad situation.

  5. Juan Jesus spent 10 years or so in Italy. Would he really misinterpret it like this?

  6. Obviously Acerbi spoke to a lawyer who came up with the closest non-racist altercation still containing the word “nero” – and they came up with “ti faccio nero” :p. If he really had said that he would have clarified it publicly immediately thereafter.

I believe this is clearly made up, however at the same time I stand by my point that a racist offense is no better no worse than any other unsportsmanlike behaviour and must be disciplined no more no less than the like. I obviously don’t condone racism or any form or X-<ism> (I lost count nowadays), but we must keep some common sense, and seeing people calling him scum and wanting to terminate his contract frankly makes me wonder if people had not just lost their minds altogether. If we want to play the game of the righteous then we should be indigned by any offense that involves reference to religion, politics, sexuality, social status, poverty, physical looks and your mother (since for each one of those categories you are denigrating some demographics that have suffered due to those throghout history and their lives) – which means literaly any offense at all.

  7. You people are all falling for the classic Kafka trap, typical and as old as time.

There are two versions of the story, yet you all decide to believe the version that would outrage you most, instead of realizing it might have been an honest mistake of misunderstanding.

  8. I dont trust acerbi and i dont trust juan. I’ll wait till things are elucidate
