Indian man’s ‘car-helicopter’ seized by police

A man from Indiaโ€™s Uttar Pradesh said on Monday (March 18) that he worked tirelessly to modify a second-hand car into a helicopter only to have his dream project fall apart after local police seized it for not having a permit.

“I was taking (this car) to get it painted, but the police then fined me 2,000 rupees ($24) and asked me to get it (helicopter parts) removed, citing that this was not allowed,โ€ said Ishwar Deen, who is a sculptor by profession.

Deen spent about 250,000 rupees ($2998) on the modification and had worked day and night for two months on the project, hoping to use it at weddings as a decorative piece for rent and did not intend to use it as a personal vehicle.
