  37. Yeah, bottom line is NATO members agreed in writing to pay 2 percent of GDP to their own military preparedness so NATO can be ready. Right now only 11 of 33 meet that agreement with some of the richest Western European members not meeting their obligation. Germany and Spain on that list of non compliance.

  40. My involvement has given me the understanding that NATO is the North Atlantic Treaty Organization as in Insurance Treaties for ships, lanes, planes, and food.

    Still, my feeling is that if these NATO alliance defaulters progressively default on the debt that Mr Trump has insisted exists, they may become so concerned about becoming defenseless that they could end up crossing the line and may try joining the Russian supported and Russian backed ATO. That's the Arctic Treaty Organization (formed on April 1, 1949) and which Mr Trump hasn't yet mentioned whilst on his campaign trail.

  47. Trump was dead right to criticise certain NATO countries for failing to contribute enough money to defence. This situation has been going on for years now where these countries have backpeddaled and shirked their responsibilities and expected the USA and the UK to defend them.
