  5. He saved us that tie. Not only with this performance but that ice cold pen when we had an absolute stinker at home.

    To quote the late Tina Turner, he was “simply the best” and he always will be.

    It makes me sad seeing 17/18 highlights every time. We got over **€**100 million for him and he capped off a threepeat, but it still feels unceremonious. We had a torrid time without him in those first two seasons and his “replacement” was a joke. I feel that he’d have another ballon d’or to his name, he would’ve still been able to move to Italy at an older age, and it would’ve cut out that return to Man Utd if he stayed for another couple of years. Hindsight is hindsight but he’s our greatest ever player and it still stings that he left.
