6. Messi in the UCL KO was absolutely nonexistent for the vast majority of his career after 2011. He had some good games like Liverpool in 2019 or against weaker sides in the R16, but for the most part he was just waiting for others (Neymar, Suarez, Mbappe) to do something.

   There are like 10+ of his most important career games in the competition that he had absolutely 0/10 performances. Was always a beast against teams from Belarus or Cyprus in the group stages though, we’ll give him that I guess.
