What do you think about it? In this years team there are some crucial players missing (Courtois, Militao and even Benzema), but this years lineup seem much more balanced in the midfield (even without Tchouameni) and that could one of the key elements.

Improvements:
-Proper and defensively stable LB
-Way more balanced and physical midfield with a proper DM
-Rüdiger in the starting 11-elite at manmarking
-Modric from the bench always brings new elements
-Way better transitional plays

Downgrades:
-Absence of Courtois-Lunin is a great and I love him but still it is just the fact that Courtois is the best keeper in the world and in crucial matches like this one, he could be the difference
-I have 100% trust in Nacho and I think he will deliver tomorrow but still ON PAPER Militao or Alaba would be a better option and aerial duels could be a problem

It will be a very though match but I think it is 50-50 (it will be down to the small details and individual brilliance) and the chances this year are better than last year but City has the edge with the game being played at the Etihad and with the fact that they have their full squad healthy.
These are just the first thoughts that came into my mind but I had to share it with someone because I am so nervous and excited about the game😂 But what do you guys think?

  1. I would love to see Rudiger and Dani CB and Lord as RB. I actually think Lucas would do great down the wing tomorrow. Love Nacho but don’t think he’s on form atm

  2. Carvajal is better than last season, current Rudiger is better than any of our CBs last season, Mendy > Camavinga LB, no debate.

Camavinga > Modric when paired with Kroos as a starter

Bellingham > Benz in late 22/23

  3. stronger in some areas, weaker in some but always without a starting cdm :/
