Just because NATO could militarily defeat Russia doesn’t mean that war would be a good thing for anyone involved, and the fact that we’re even sitting here dickwaving about nuclear-capable countries going to war with each other because of one fucking megalomaniacal dipshit is something that should make everyone worry.

NATO has 4 times ruzzia’s equipment, and even the rocks know that Putin Is running low on resources While NATO is producing and giving equipment every single day to Ukraine.

Russian doctrine dictates the use of tactical nukes should their territory be threatened. They’ve cried wolf so many times they’ll never be believed if they were actually serious about the threat but that’s sort of concerning should NATO become directly engaged in future.
Their aging nuclear stockpile is (generously) probably less than 30-50% actually operational / functional, but they’d only need 1% or 2% of it in usable condition to set off a worst case scenario for humanity.
I don’t think they’d ever risk deploying them while on offence, nor would they resort to it if / when they’re pushed out of Ukraine and Crimea. However, if NATO gets dragged in and in all likelihood stomps the Russians all the way back into their own original territory, that is really as much as can be done without risking everything. Any move made to put an end to the country or ‘demilitarise’ them would trigger their long-standing plan to escalate straight to using tactical nukes on the approaching NATO forces. There’s no scenario in which that doesn’t lead to ICBMs flying in every direction from a dozen different countries.
I hope we eventually see Ukraine deliver Russia a humiliating total defeat. In the age of MAD, at least during the Cold War, the stakes were clearly understood and provided the needed deterrence for a few decades, but it seems the further Hiroshima and Nagasaki drift into the distant past the less those in power respect and rightly fear the incomprehensible horror of a nuclear exchange.
NATO can and would dominate Russia in a conventional war, but if that escalated into taking the fight to them I can’t see it ending in anything but turning *Threads (1984)* into a documentary, at least while Putin or his cronies remain in power.
We should fear a fight with Putin. The country will fracture and divide after he’s removed and we’ll end up with a bunch of little wars that will keep our forces occupied for a decade at least. Meanwhile – over in China……..
NATO has only sent its oldest and least capable weapons to Ukraine, even the F-16s are over 40 years old, and third generation (currently NATO is on the fifth generation of aircraft). And Russia cannot even defeat Ukraine when Ukraine has a few old obsolete NATO weapons. What the Ukraine war is proving is that Russia would be completely aand utterly fucked if it had a conventional war against NATO.
