I can understand it though. He felt he wasn’t valued same as before when he left and thought he had a point to prove. That was his mentality all his life and got him to the top. In hindsight, it was the wrong move for him.
As a Madridista though, I cannot complain. It hurt us in the season after but long term we got good value for a great player and have done well with Benzema and later on Vini and now Bellingham.
Selling him when he started to be toxic has been one of the best movements in modern football
He will never be for us what Messi is for Barca, and that clearly got to him.
Hips were shot. He needs to be nursed (heavily focused on recovery) and get partial minutes or play only important matches. He would still be hitting bangers if this were the case.
