the war in Ukraine now and Ukraine says the death toll from a Russian strike on the Black Sea port city of Odessa has risen to five a 4-year-old girl is among the 32 injured in the missile attack which targeted a private school uh on Monday the governor declared Tuesday a day of morning let’s bring in John Holman for the latest he in keev uh Russian attacks on Ukraine increasing John tell us about these latest ones in karke and also Essa yeah the attack in harke happened this morning and at the moment the figures are one person killed and nine people injured the mayor of the city has said that the attack took place because of a Glide bomb these are being increasingly used by Russian forces and have been increasingly used in recent months basically this is an mostly older bomb it’s got Wings strapped to the side of it and then it’s lobbed out of a fighter aircraft and because it does Glide it’s really hard to track and they’ve been causing a lot of damage in cities like hake in terms of Odessa uh this attack happened uh uh last night uh and uh the general prosecutor of Ukraine has accused Russian forces of using cluster Munitions uh on a warhead of a missile and he said that the debris uh from the attack then spread out 1.5 kilm and caused these civilian uh casualties uh in the past uh Russia Human Rights Watch has said has used uh repeatedly cluster Munitions um and they’ve killed Ukrainian civilians but Human Rights Watch has also said that Ukraine’s forces have at times used cluster Munitions also to attack Uh Russian uh to attack Russian forces and they’ve killed civilians too what is certain right now is that Russia is won it’s bombarding the city of harke and it has been for some time it’s also using its aerial dominance at the moment to attack Ukrainian energy plants it’s ramped up its attacks on Ukrainian Railway in this window before a promised military aid package of $61 billion especially from the United States is due to arrive and help to shore up Ukrainian defenses Russia’s also making incursions on the front line Ukrainian the head of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said that it’s been attacking at several different points and having success Ukrainian forces have had to retreat the Ukrainian head of the Armed Forces said on Sunday from three different villages on the Eastern front so at the moment this is Russia having several gains uh in this war thank you for the update John Holman live there in keev make sure to subscribe to our channel to get the latest news from Al jaer

  3. That is not how a missile attack works. It would have destroyed the whole building and not just the roof. Looks like the Ukrainian air defence system gone wrong again. Remember last time when Ukrainian air defence hit a civilian apartment building.

  5. This is what the notoriously duplicitous Ukrainians are reporting. They don't report of course when it is their own bombs they lob into Odessa just to make headlines.

  6. are they sure it wasn't an air defense missile gone astray that didn't intercept the incoming bomb. In Odessa they can't send glide bombs. Its too far.

  19. What Russian are doing it's wrong the always target civilian area's ,it's not for the first time, Ukrainian soldiers are in uniform it's totally different what is happening in Gaza coz once they kill they become civilian.
