  30. There are two ways to decide who was better in a football match, the subjective way and the objective way.

    With the subjective way everyone is right, because it depends on my own criteria and my own opinion. Subjectively speaking, any team can be a winner or a loser.

    Now, the objective way, to which I subscribe, is who made more goals. The better team in a football match 100% of the team is the team that made one or more goals than the opposing team.

    You can’t go wrong with the objective way, and I highly recommend it.

    Whoever thinks that luck is what drives winning a football match has never done any competitive sport. Luck without a plan is nothing. Luck without skill is useless.

    Xavi knows this. As a player, he was coached by Guardiola into being within the top three of his position. There was nothing lucky about that.

    He knows his team was worse, and he absolutely knows he is responsible. He just can’t say it out loud.
