I was watching the game with my friend who’s a madrid fan and even he admits that madrid gets alot of calls. Sadly the majority of their fan base is ignorant to it and doesn’t even acknowledge it

Madrid defenders stopped defending once the referee blew the whistle, as it happens always. Yes, the whistle was blown incorrectly but you never know if it’d have been a goal if he hadn’t because then Madrid players wouldn’t have stopped playing.

RM fan here: when the ball goes, both players attempt to get the ball. The ball was too high, Mazraoui was the only option then the other player decides to not to go to chase the ball. So I guess (and maybe bc I have a RM opinion) the call was over the first player, who was clearly offside. IMHO.

OK the play goes when there were two balls in the pitch and the ref even allowed but this play has to be stopped. Great refreeing

The ref blew his whistle after the AR raised his flag. That is what was wrong with the play. Once the whistle goes, doesn’t matter one bit what happened or didn’t happen before.
