  1. Imagine letting the internet change the way.you feel in your heart. Football is for everyone so does supporting any club you desire even if it is on the other side of the globe

  2. Real Madrid is a global force. Most of our players are Brazilians, French, Belgians, Germans, Croatians and Jude is British while our manager is Italian.

  3. Yeah. You know there are fans who have enough brains to not shit on their own pants? Those are the ones that believe you need to support a team from your city or country. Football is universal now, and everybody can be from the team.

  4. Um…. no. It doesn’t have to be said. No Madrid fan would ever say you have to be Spanish to follow Madrid. There are more non-Spanish fans of Madrid then there are Spanish fans.

  5. I’m a Glory’s fan and RM means glory to me. White but not trophyless like Spurs and England

  6. Nope you don’t need to be but you need to be able to accept that people will consider you a gloryhunter

  7. Football clubs market themselves internationally to get a global fan base.
Football has been broadcasted across the world for many years before this.
There are international fans who have been down in the trenches since the 6 year drought days.
And there are fans who just hopped on since the 2014 La Decima.
    Everyone starts from somewhere.
Objectively, clubs use their successful periods to ramp up their international marketing to get new fans, because clubs know people like winners and it supports their bottom line – profits.

  8. Its true one doesn’t have to be Spanish to support us, but some of the takes on here are so out of touch and wild i sometimes find it annoying myself that all these people call themselves madridistas

  11. It’s easy supporting Madrid because they always win. Plastic international fans

  12. Indeed the squad is a mix of multiple nationalities (brazilian, croatian, german, french, etc), gatekeeping people with that argument is stupid

  13. Facts. For example I am a Bosnian and I’ve been supporting Real Madrid since 10 years old (La Decima was my first season), my grandad is also a life long Madridista. There are also a lot of Balkan communities for Real Madrid fans which have thousands of members. So yeah, being a Madridista is a way of life even outside of Spain.

  14. Why is this even an issue to begin with? PL clubs have fans that aren’t even English.

  15. You have to at least understand European football which, looking at the takes on the audience inside the Bernabeu is not happening

  16. thanks. One time I found myself in a tiktok where the creator asked to write in the comments what’s a clear sign someone has 0 football knowledge, one of the most upvoted comments was from an idiot who said “people who support Real Madrid outside Spain”. Like alright then, if you think that the most followed teams in the world (not only Madrid) are or must be followed only by the people of the same nationality, then I think the one with 0 football knowledge is you my guy

  17. No you are a gloryhunter, you have never been to Spain let alone Madrid. I visited Camp Nou last summer on my ~~vacation trip~~ monthly visit and watched a La Liga match in July. Visca Catalunya.

    -somewhere in the Netherlands.

  18. Real Madrid is the biggest club in the biggest sport in the world by far. Definitely, the fanbase is going to be global.

  19. And what am I supposed to do with my 958 day Duolingo streak???

  20. Well long story short: Raymond Kopa.

He’s the link from my favorite, hometown club (Angers SCO), to Real Madrid, and why in my family, ever since my grandad, we’ve always followed Spanish football after French football, much more than the EPL. And I’m pretty sure it works this way for a lot of other French people too, in several generations. Zizou, Benzema, Camavinga… hopefully Mbappé soon. I smiled when during the infamous final in Paris against Liverpool, English supporters were frustrated and didn’t understand why so many people were cheering for Madrid there

  21. Yeah…

That whole “You need to be from <Insert name here> city to support ‘<Insert name here> Football Club’.” Thing got thrown out the window the moment Football clubs started fielding players from different cities and countries.

If a city’s team can have a player from somewhere thousands of miles away, A fan can support that team from thousands of miles away. It’s as simple as that.

  22. As a Brazilian, I find it just weird how Madridistas are gatekeeping its fanbase when you folks have some of our best players. Like can’t we support members from our own national team who are now making it in Europe? 🤷

  23. American fan here, its hard to keep up with soccer here, plus I’m from Tennessee, the only soccer fans are Mexican and they love Barca, but I do my best to watch and keep up as much as possible since 2011 or so.

  24. I hate how they keep saying you’re a glory hinter ifnyou support real madrid

  25. Real Madrid is like Ferrari F1 team except their strategies work
