Josip Stanišić does not want to return to Bayern this summer and would like to stay in Leverkusen. He informed the club of that. Still no talks between clubs – talks expected to take place after the end of the season. It remains to be seen whether Bayern will sell to a direct competitor

Swap with Wirtz. Win win for both sides
I think we all feared this would happen but I don’t blame him at all. Loaning him out was always a bad decision and I’m sure he now feels like he has a brighter future with Leverkusen compared to Bayern who have no manager, as of now, and a surplus of players at right back and competition at the center back position. I’d prefer not to sell him to a direct rival, though
This really couldn’t have gone any worse than it has for us. And I can’t even blame him. Would you rather stay at the record breaking side that can’t lose under Alonso or would you go back to Bayern under construction?
Why would he want to come back to this mess 🤣
As I already said in the DD: in December he complained about the lack of gametime he got at Leverkusen. 4 months later he doesn’t want to return to his beloved boyhood club anymore.
As shitty as the loan decision was, if this is true I’m heavily disappointed in Stanisic.
I’d let him stay there for the time being. Either prolong his loan or sell him with a cheap buy-back option.
He has developed extremely well under Xabi and another season under Xabi would be way better for his development than coming back to Bayern. I think his best position is at right back and if he came back to Bayern he’d have to play CB since there is a log jam at the RB position currently. I’d just prefer to see his development continue at Leverkusen while still retaining an option for a potential return. I’m sure he’d want to return eventually, Bayern is one of the biggest clubs in the world. But right now his development progress shouldn’t be interrupted.
Just when you think the board couldn’t be more incompetent
Could personally very well imagine some kind of trade. Stanisic and some money for Frimpong or Grimaldo…
Let him stay there, get a good relationship with bayer so they sell wirtz to us next summer
We developed him, got him some playtime in the first team, and got him a loan with an amazing team under Xabi Alonso. This is how he thanks us. Fuck off Josip
Rejecting Bayern is soo hot right now
45 mio and he can stay
You can’t blame him, his team is unstoppable
Tell me this is a late April fools joke
Sell him with a buy back option. It’s the best for both sides honestly
Can anyone remind me why we let him go to Leverkusen in the first place?
As sad as it is, we can’t blame him. He’s a victim of Tuchel’s sign me a DM politician move that went wrong. Besides, thanks to this, our RB position is no longer overcrowded and we got ourselves Pavlovic. The club just needs to do their best so that the sales will actually benefit Bayern and not only do their best to keep Kimmich, but also persuade him to keep playing as RB.
🤣🤣🤣 what are we? A sinking ship? I would have made the same decision though.
Makes sense that he’d want to stay assuming frimpong is most likely on his way out
Time to do a “Leverkusen” and ask for way more than he is worth
Bayern is the friendzone now
What did we expect? Brudda pocketed Mbappe 2 times for us and we rewarded him by shipping him off
He can go but I expect a good discount on Wirtz next summer 👺
Bayern and 2024 rejection, name a more iconic duo.
Get him back and sell him to Timbuktu
Seen it coming and it’s probably for the best. We already have too many full backs and while Stanisic could arguably start for Bayern right now, I don’t see him replacing Kimmich at RB (or Kimmich going back to midfield) or fighting a three-way with Mazraoui and Davies (if he stays) for LB. We also have Boey as a sub and Krätzig and Aznou for the future, not to mention Guerreiro being able to fill in if needed. CB is also overcrowded, Upa and Kim are already not getting enough game time. Stani wouldn’t get as much game time as he’d want and we’d be back at square one with him. While I’d be sad to see him go, another year of loan or a permanent move to Leverkusen would be the best solution for both parties.
I won’t blame him for wanting to stay and achieve more great stuff with B04. Leverkusen will be on fire even next season. I hope they keep their squad. We needed competition like that.
Can’t say I blame him at all. He was went packing from Bayern and now plays under a coach who clearly trusts him and who he likes playing for who has obviously been great for his development as a player.
Bayern on the other hand are in an incredibly unstable position without a manager. For Stani it makes total sense to stay at Leverkusen.
first Tillman, now this
Stanisic + ££ for Frimpong 🫡
