Russia’s Big Kharkiv Offensive Looks Finished ALREADY!
is the Russian offensive in the north officially out of steam or is this all part of Putin’s plan I’m Paul US Army Combat veteran let’s talk about it okay so the biggest story to me is the lack of activity you can see in the last 24 hours the front line has made virtually no difference almost no change here this is literally looks like just a mapping correction here on kind of the Eastern prong or excuse me the Western prong near V uh you can see when you have these kind of expansions in the water it’s more of a mapping question here right a little bit of uh marking this small forested area is contested but over here you do have a small change just simply showing Uh Russian forces annexing the remainder of this Airfield and just a small forested area here near V Chens but in the grander scheme of things this is a tiny tiny change and it it really one of the things that sort of irks me is that a lot of commentators um especially ones who are pro-russian or totally neutral uh were prognosticating about a massive Ukrainian collapse and Russian forces lightning attack um and again the reality is that in this conflict especially when you’re not using light infant when you’re not using mechanized infantry forces you can achieve these this kind of scale of uh of gains um but then the enem the your opposition in this case the ukrainians but you know eight months ago it was the Russians have time to deploy their reserves to contain a breach right and thanks to drones and indirect fire assets fpv drones uh it’s very difficult to once you once enough fire is looking at the breach it’s very hard to maneuver in any kind of way that’s going to confer a meaningful Advantage so again this isn’t to say that the Russians are done um as you guys probably know uh once they get a little foothold into some of these areas they’re very very good at kind of Peace meal block by block clearing these areas so if you told me that over the next 6 weeks or longer Russia runs High casualty operations to kind of peel off building by building block by block through vens I wouldn’t be shocked but is it indicative of some kind of big Russian breakthrough pending not really no and you can see here that’s sort of what happened right they’re fighting in Hoka they’re fighting in liuan uh but then south of it there’s just open terrain and we know that Russian forces and open terrain go together like like peanut butter and toothpaste right it’s just going to be a disaster for them and a shooting gallery for Ukrainian drones so I think that to me is the biggest takeaway um there is some reports of continued uh you know very marginal Russian advances uh kind of here in the north let’s see if we can find it here just a a small sort of uh seizure of of a little bit of like what looks like Farmland here near cro Molina um but again we’ve talked extensively on this channel about how the northern front is just kind of more sparsely manned and it tends to have like bigger changes don’t reflect a substantial change in the Tactical situation the way they might in a denser more contested area like uh outside chavar or ult datina so you can see here again to me the story is no story when we look over at the Deep state map or excuse me live UA map you can see that they again haven’t really changed their assessment at all in like 3 days um they still have uh Russian forces controlling the Airfield and this cluster of buildings in the north of venk and that this highway here uh demarcates the boundary between Russian and Ukrainian control so literally according to livea UA there hasn’t been any Russian progress in several days and as of 40 minutes ago Ukrainian military saying they’re actually pushing in back against Russian forces in volens uh likely in an effort to keep them from establishing any kind of really meaningful um foothold or base of operations so guys if you’re interested in supporting the Ukrainian units conducting this defense who again frankly have done a pretty good job of containing these guys um you can check out Ukraine Aid Ops I’ve talked to these guys right one of the things that has kept me from uh donating directly to Ukrainian units is finding a legitimate charity that I’m confident is going to get the material to the units and and these guys are doing everything right right they’re super public about their donations um they literally we were working together we were actually going to try to partner to raise money for a Ukrainian military police unit since obviously I have uh I myself was a military police uh Soldier uh and you know I have a a lot of um affinity for military police units especially those that get retasked into uh combat units light infantry doing light infantry work again as your your boy got stuck doing during The Surge so but obviously the Russians get a vote and they are doing an emergency fundraiser to help out the fighters the soldiers of the 82nd the Ukrainian 82nd Air Assault Bri Gade and their special operations regiment those guys were part of this emergency crew that was sent to harke to stop the Russian advance and they are raising money for these guys uh to get them um drones uh let’s see what else uh there you go uh they’ve already given them a thermal drone to the Kraken unit um so yeah they’re looking for daytime drones thermal drones fpv drones drone Jammers uh which we’ve seen the Russian light infantry forces here supported heavily by drones and so getting the most upto-date drone Jammers is absolutely essential for these guys um and what I appreciate is that of course if you throw them a donation at certain levels uh you get some swag right one if you’re in the military you know you everybody love swag but also as I always say a thing is only worth what it took to get it and you can know that you know these 80c patches right or the soft and 80c Patch you know you got it because you actually did the unit a tremendous tremendous service so any of you’re interested the link is in the description um of course uh I am going to be uh donating myself um and you should absolutely uh again check these guys out you should also follow them on Instagram um that’s where you can actually see the Aid deliveries and they sometimes even on Twitter will post interviews with some of the soldiers we’re working on getting some interviews with them so if you have questions you’d like to ask somebody who’s in harke doing this fighting on the front lines let me know in the comments okay so here’s what I wanted to talk about about kind of the larger Russian plan first off I want to point out that it’s finally made its way into the White House something that I’ve been talking about since this started which is the fact that uh Ukraine ‘s inability to hit Russian targets uh inside Russia um is a huge reason why this offensive appeared to succeed uh as much as it did and that is of course the US policy that says that their weapons can’t be used in Russian territory now here’s what’s interesting that used to be a No Nonsense ink is dry Dead Set policy but now we’re seeing us officials kind of walk it back because they themselves have realized that hey Russia’s playing a game they’re taking advantage of a policy meant to prevent deescalation Russia’s actually using it to escalate the conflict right so the Biden Administration has has come out and said that while the policy prohibiting Ukraine’s use of us provided weapons to strike Russian territory has not changed some other sources are saying that the details and interpretation might be flexing a little bit they said that US military assistance to Ukraine is quote for defensive and not for offensive operations into Russian territory this is one of those devil in the detail moments because that doesn’t say that you can’t use weapons right it says that they are for defensive and not offensive operations well here’s the thing guys one the whole war is defensive for Ukraine they have no desire or Ambitions to seize and occupy Russian territory but more importantly is that the defensive carve out is exactly what they needed here because if Russia is gathering an offensive Force within 2 kilometers of the border which is what they did then Ukraine could easily have used an attacks or a high Mars to break up that formation and prevent it from ever reaching the critical mass necessary to seize all these Villages which is what they did and so to sit there and say listen we aren’t going to follow this up with a ground assault we’re not going to follow it up by seizing a Target on the ground Instead This is a defensive effort uh part conducting what’s called a spoiling attack and it’s not even doctrinally an attack because the the ground forces aren’t entering the territory and so it’s purely defensive it’s purely a spoiling uh uh uh uh fire mission essentially so I think that sort of subtle change in policy or excuse me it’s not a change of policy it’s a reinterpretation of policy uh would enable Ukraine to stop these kind of Russian offensives from gathering in Russian territory um where Ukraine can’t touch them and then catching Ukraine unawares right so the other thing I thought was really interesting is that again I and and willly oam and I differ on this point um I think that Russia has a real fixation on seizing territory and doesn’t really care that much about where it is um and I think this seems to this reporting about Putin seems to confirm that right uh President Putin downplaying counterattacks along the entire front line uh and it’s indic indicating that the Kremlin assesses that Ukraine doesn’t have the tools necessary to liberate territory occupied by Russian forces this will allow Russian forces to pursue creeping advances indefinitely right this I think is the best summary of Russia’s current strategic Outlook right they also believe that they say Putin probably believes that Russian forces have blunted Ukrainian efforts to retake significant Terr territory and they believe that us and Western support for Ukraine is finite we’ve talked about this as the second prong of Russia strategy the winning on the battlefield isolating Ukraine politically and launching a propaganda information campaign against the public in Western countries and to convince them that their support for Ukraine is uh is not to the advantage of their country and this sort of three-pronged effort of course totally captures this sort of Battlefield strategy um and it really reflects the fact they say that that Russian command is evaluating all of their offensive operations through the lens of the theory that any territory Russia seizes Ukraine won’t be able to take back right now the problem as they point out is that just because Ukraine can’t take back territory today doesn’t mean they can’t take it back in the future and with changes to Ukraine’s mobilization policy with the flood of us Aid coming in um giving them this large 18-month Gap where they can sustain the fight before the European Defense industrial base starts to ramp up and then you have a situation in which both sides Russia and Ukraine are closer to it um and again will Russia run out of steam before the entire Western World does that’s kind of the billion dooll question um but Russia is a small country and it is not economically all that rich whereas the West even by throwing them uh what amounts to our chump change is still going to make a tremendous difference anyway guys that is really all I had again check the the description for the the um link to the donor box to donate to the 82nd Air Assault Brigade holding down literally holding it down in harke anyway thanks to all the members of combat vet news and I’ll see you guys in the next one cheers

LMMFAOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
When it comes to analysis I find History legends or Weeb union to be more accurate than Paul
where did you get this narrative? :)) i thought you try to be opbjective
good content
❤❤💛💙
You was a 👨🍳 military nothing else
😂😂such brain dead propaganda, the ukies surrender all over the place
According to this one , ukraine willl counter attack and make a pjsh for Moscow .
Don’t forget to check out and ideally follow New Caledonian riots. Azerbaijan is behind them as Russia’s proxy. Why? Nickel. Russia’s African playbook has been rolled out into the Pacific.
I fought in Baghdad in 2005-09. I can’t imagine dealing with this type of fighting. Just the drone threat alone boggles my mind. I’m an airborne infantry dude, and it just seems terrifying.
And Ukrainian win the war.😂
Thanks Paul. As always good job!!!
You should be an academic..
Don't say swag 😅
Ukraine lost 10 villages to probing attacks. Ukraine entire counteroffensive only got 7 villages 😂
The problem was that they didn't manage to get hold of any StrikeGum through their sanctions busting operatives. It was inevitable that they were going to run out of energy. 😉
This guy is just a Ukrainian propagandist mouth piece
One of your best – certainly the situation in the ground and major updates in policy make this a critical report update.
Expected. Only had enough green troops to hold what they have now. They did great with the handful that they had. It's what Ukraine gets for not using engineers
MP service support Vet talking about maneuver warfare is awesome. 🙂 Talking about things he would have been punched for us in the Army . LOL I love the entertainment the Youtube gives us. 345K subscribers awesome. Keep up the great work. I am going back to watch videos on to how drain the swamp in my yard.
No strike gum transition. I refuse to like this video
WARNING: This man is either heavily biased or ill-informed if you want truthful assesment of this conflict look elsewhere. Just wasted 14 minutes of my time.
Watch Oliver Stones “Ukraine On Fire” for a really good in depth context as to how all this started
I wouldn't call it very good how Russia does the block by block thing since they are paying massive prices for it….
Thank You
Just looking for a buffer zone. This is why I don't watch channels like this cause you don't do your research.
this is going age like 🥛
Thanks
Looking at the maps yesterday, Russia had around 5% of Vovchansk, about 5% in the grey zone, and 90% in Ukrainian control. 24 hours later, it is 10% in Russian control, around 30% in the grey zone, and 60% under Ukrainian control. I don't know what the intricate details on the ground are, but that looks like decent progress for the Russians to me.
The „totaly neutral“ had me 😂
In 5 days the Russians have taken more ground than Ukrainians did in six months last summer.
Mannn, I’m pretty sure Ukraine is getting their ass handed to them right now but I’m watching you to try to get some more clarity. Every other creator I watch though is pretty concerned for Ukraine right now. You think they are going to be able to pull this out? Btw my guys aren’t pro Russia they are simple speaking what they are seeing they have been very good at not letting their emotions get in the way. So hearing them all express their concerns worries the shit out of me. I’m afraid this time next year the war will be close to being over for Ukraine. I’ve always enjoyed your channel though! Been gone for about two weeks and just getting tuned back in today and dam not a good debrief so far lol.
PR caution while Putin on his big visit
Maybe everyone should just go home and call it a day.
Reuters: Kiev is preparing for a major Russian offensive in the coming weeks.
Zelensky visited the affected Kharkiv region amid increasing Russian pressure in the east.
"The direction remains extremely difficult – we are strengthening our units," Zelensky said after a meeting with his commander-in-chief and senior military leadership.
In addition to the destruction of frontline settlements and a blow to Kiev's morale, Russia's Kharkov offensive is a headache for Ukrainian military planners, whose troops are already stretched along more than 1,000 kilometers of line.
Kiev, whose manpower shortage is exacerbated by delays in the supply of Western weapons, has warned that Russia is preparing for a major offensive in the coming weeks. There is a build-up of Russian units near the Sumy region.
The Ukrainian military announced the day before that their troops, who are fighting in the area of the city of Kupyansk, are also retreating to more "advantageous positions." Kupyansk is located about 85 km southeast of Kharkov.
The General Staff of Ukraine reported that Russia is conducting the most intensive offensives on the fronts near the cities of Pokrovsk and Kramatorsk in the east of Donetsk region, where the offensive of Russian troops has not stopped for several months.
Pasi Paroinen, an analyst from the Black Bird Group, noted that Moscow's Kharkov offensive looks like an attempt to draw Kiev's limited reserves into battle before the start of the main summer offensive.
"If Ukraine redistributes forces in Kharkiv and Sumy, it will be able to preserve part of the territory, possibly prevent artillery attacks on civilians in Kharkiv, perhaps even push the enemy back to the border," he said.
"But it could cost them a loss in the military conflict as a whole if reserves are not available to respond to crises during Russia's summer offensive."
I think your Channel is one of top 5 of pro ukraine you doing of good job defending ukraine forces In this platform
Very biased channel. Ukraine is clearly losing everywhere. Must be getting paid
WOW! ShillyOAM's "neutral" community is really going hard in the comments. Must suck to have a community full of foreign agents/agitators and Coach Deadpill losers
Hahahaha bro they took Kharkiv??? Where are you getting this information, you about to get hit by reality really fast, this channel is total BS
"Russia is a small country." The lies get more obvious.
I wonder what your thoughts are on the corruption that was reported in Ukraine that money that wad supposed to be spent on fortifications in this area was never spent but was given to corrupt officials.
this wont age well..
