RU Learns the Hard Way: UKR Patriots & ATACMS are BACK!

this has not been a good week for Russian Aviation and Ukraine has launched a massive strike against one of the largest Russian air bases in Crimea do the Russians ever learn and just what exactly is this going to impact the Russian operation in Ukraine I’m Paul US Army Combat veteran let’s talk about it okay so belbeck Airbase which is located in sevastopol international airport is one of the largest bases in the uh occupied Crimean region now what I find most interesting is that Ukraine apparently used its attack’s missile system provided by the US to hit belback Airfield and according to well it depends on who you ask but according to the ukrainians they’ve taken out a large number of uh Munitions particularly missiles for the Russian su27 and 30 uh Russia you might know is been relying lately on primarily Glide bombs fired from a considerable distance right the uh pervasiveness of man pads and uh Patriot missile batteries have actually forced the Russians to have quite a bit of standoff with their close air support aircraft or I guess their just support aircraft at that point they can’t get close but uh additionally uh it seems like a number of MiG 31 aircraft were also destroyed which are a launch platform for some of Russia’s larger ballistic missiles um and a significant amount of damage was also dealt to the infrastructure and we can take a look actually we’re going to take a look and do a little bit of analysis of the before and after satellite photos um but I think the this comes on the heel of the fact that supposedly uh the missile strike took out two Mig 31 to 31s this four days ago Russia also lost a ka-52 helicopter and an Su 25 shot down in the Donas three days ago so overall it sounds like Russia is really trying to step up its Aviation to support uh you you know their ground efforts and I think what may have happened is that Russia knew that at some point the provided Patriot missiles would work their way to the batteries um but there was a window where Russian Aviation was able to operate pretty freely you might remember that during the Battle of adiva what some reports said actually turn the tide and allow the Russian Pinsir to finally collapse Ukrainian lines was actually the fact that their Aviation could finally provide true close air support and Russia was probably saying listen we’ve got this window where Ukrainian air defenses are pretty minimal let’s exploit it to the max unfortunately for them it sounds like that time is kind of wrapped up uh because again aircraft and flight getting taken out by Patriot missiles um the aircraft on the ground being taken out by attacks all of which are noteworthy because they’re all part of the initial tranch of Aid provided to Ukraine now let’s take a look at this before and after photos you you know you know I’m I’m a man who enjoys a good before and after photo so you can see here that it looks like Russia has a number of these um plane parking spots lack of a better term but what’s fascinating about them is that supposedly some of these gray markings on the tarmac are actually Silhouettes that were painted on of aircraft this is to make it harder for satellites to know if what they’re looking at is a real aircraft or just a painted image and it might the hope I think Russia has is that would it would obscure targeting of these kind of precision attack missiles I you know what impresses me is the level of precision you can see here they identified the two uh spots where there were actually combat aircraft as well as a Munitions area and you can literally see that Russia built a barrier around this Munitions Depot expressly to contain a potential explosion which it appears to have kind of done so you can see here that the level of precision at work in these with these missile systems where it looks like it was down to Accurate to probably within 10 to 20 M uh hitting these two aircraft and then of course hitting smack dab in the middle of this Depot and to the Russians credit it looks like their containment system actually did its job while the depot itself looks destroyed a lot of the surrounding buildings don’t look nearly as crispy as you often see uh so I think it’s a sign that the major uh Munitions uh and the most critical stuff again Patriot missiles attacks and we can’t see it here but it likely means that also 155 shells are also have worked their way to the front line and it’s just the start right uh as we talked about in an earlier video US military logistics you can get speed or quantity but you can’t get both and so initially the US was like do speed right you have a prepackaged ready to go Tran of the most valuable Aid and then put that to Ukraine as soon as the ink is dry on the aid package and then go for quantity try to get the big stuff establish big robust AR uh uh Logistics uh lines and really get the Ukraine the Deep hot Mass quantity support that it needs anyway guys that’s really all I had for you of course if you want to see the uncensored combat footage from this the fighting this week particularly in AR but also all across the front line where Russian morale seem seems to be   8. Yes, at Avdiivka, Russia wasn't just able to drop up to 100 gliding bombs a day, they also were able to use their Su-25, so a jet for close air support, their version of the A-10. That should be far more difficult now, with more stinger, Germany's IRIS-T and new patriots and patriot missiles 🤷‍♂️

  11. I will provide an overview of the Russian aircraft as of February 2022.
    1. Most of the available aircraft were constructed during the Soviet era.
    2. The SU25 was designed as a close support aircraft. This was sensible when you were geared to suppress an internal conflict. Maybe even when you were fighting in Afghanistan before the US supplied shoulder launched missiles to the local farmers.
    3. The SU34 requires 2, side by side pilots. It is the only aircraft that can launch the very effective gliding bomb. A total of 153 units were produced over 30 years and the rate of construction was only 6 units per year starting in 2022.
    4. The SU35 was adopted in about 2018. It does not carry the gliding bomb. Of 12 units sold to the People's Republic of China, only 3 were flyable. The Chinese have reverse engineered the SU35 and produce its own version.
    Now for the good part. In or about August 2023, a Russian SU35 was captured by the UA, including its avionics. You can bet that the US has examined the same. Moreover, the bonus is that if the Chinese reverse engineered the Russian SU35 it received, it might have also reverse engineered the avionics!
    5. Russia had 5 or maybe as high as 6 operational 15 man surveillance planes left over from the Soviet era. I think the available unit count is down to 1 or 2.

    Depending upon the type of aircraft, 10 hours or more of ground maintenance are required for every flight hour. Jet planes wear out fast. The US example. On 09/11/2001, the 48 contiguous states had a grand total of 14 interceptors ready to go at air fields. The President announced that flights would greatly be increased and they were . . . for only about two weeks. The planes were being used up faster than parts could be available through logistics. The Russians are and have been worse off. Moreover, the UA took out the main survellience plan rehab center some months ago.

    No matter whether the Russians start developing counter measures, it cannot service the existing fleet much longer and the production of new aircraft is in the dumps.

  22. Yeah Ukraine has knocked out Russian planes and good for them but they also lost about 25 artillery systems north of Kharkiv, not a great trade. Wish you would talk about the good AND the bad to give a realistic impression of what's going on.

    Ukraine cannot give up, but still Russian army is stronger….
    Thank you USA for supporting the right team, unfortunately many countries don't see the danger of Ukrainian fall, don't see the danger of ruSSian expansion, or aggression of any dictatorship…look at history…my country, Czechoslovakia was sold for "peace in our time" before WW2….in the end, with Czechoslovak industry, Nazi Germany was finally strong enough to attack France (1/3 of the tanks in German campaign against France was made in Czechoslovakia, and tanks were just small part of weapons, we produced for Nazi Germany when we were taken).. dark side of our history… We CANNOT let Ukraine fall to their dark side, when they gonna force produce weapons against us, once, Russia wins!

    PS: one thing, I don't understand, why Ukraine cannot use ATACMS on Russian territory, it's like, we will try repell Nazi Germany attack on Europe but we rather never bomb Germany, what if they get pissed and escalate?… And Russia today is using North Korean munition and Iranian drones to destroy Ukraine… While no-one is bombing Russia…and Russians are free to use bombers to send glide bombs into Ukrainian territory hitting dams, infrastructure, cities, everything..
    It's absolutely ridiculous…
    How you want to win a war when you're not allowed to strike an enemy at home while he's trying to destroy you?

Its must be quite difficulty to constantly show only Ukrainian attack on Russian target and censoring a lot of images and videos of Russian attack on Ukrainian targets and build picture that Ukraine push back Russians , and these could work if many other youtube channels dont have problem to objectively present bout side attacks.

Main target was air defense systems … S-300 and S-400 radars is destroyed as well their rockets storage … Looks like these systems is "blind" without long range radar support (Aipetri mountain radar site was destroyed previously casualties include commander of unit )… Planes and their ordinance was bonus for main strike …
