I just want to say that now Xavi is getting sacked, he has the best, THE best, record of all coaches with 100 games with Barca who didn't have Messi. This includes the likes Cruyff, Rijkaard, Van Gaal and Rinus Michaels and he did it with a core of underage la masia players in the worst financial situation of the club in recent history.
You don't surpass the win record of these absolute giants, with the financial circumstances of the club when Xavi helmed it, being a bad coach as the delusional people in this sub keep repeating.
With shoe string budget, playing an entire season where a 16 y/o is our best forward and starting 17 y/o Cubarsi as CB , playing this season after losing Busi and Dembele and getting no DM, losing Gavi and Pedri for large parts of the season and still only getting knocked out of CL by Araujo and Cancelo being stupid.
Xavi's time here is by no means a failure considering his circumstances and anyone clowning on him can get fucked because I assure you the next coach and won't do half of what Xavi did with this team without significant reinforcements.

Yeah he is a League winning coach, against a Madrid who had just won the Champions League and is back in the finals.
He do has some flaws(like his interviews apparently) but I mean he was given a 35 year old striker, and a 16 year old along with him to work with. Meanwhile the defence has been carried by a 17 year old boy. The match against PSG was a blunder from araujo. Maybe it would have been us, not Dortmund in the final, if not for his brainfart.

You are 100% correct. He was not a failure. He is one the dude isnt dead.
But as a barca coach he sure as hell is a failure. he has made every player worse except 2. terstegen has improved still a liability tho(and i mean improved since he lost his confidence the 2 years prior to xavi joining) and sergi roberto. even tho roberto is probably the bottom 20 players in laliga so that doesnt take much.
everything else he has done has been a huge massive failure.
balde was a happy accident. xavi didnt want him he had a good preseason he was allowed to stay. this season he looked pretty awful before his injury.
cubarsi looked slowly worse and worse due to a bit of confidence loss and fatigue.
araujo looked bad except for when he first started partnering with cubarsi otherwise he has never been as bad as this season.
kounde is far worse now than in sevilla.
i know we dont rate romeu but he looked great in pl and in girona. he started fantastic too. held bellingham in his pocket in his first elclassico. infact he destroyed madrids midfield.
fdj has looked worse under xavi every single year.
pedri looks like sergi roberto under xavi.
gavi is a monster on his own not a damn thing about him is any coaches help.
lamine started of hot just looks jaded and uninterested at the moment. 100% due to fatigue.
torres? looks a shadow of how good he was under pep.
felix is just all around nonchalant and not interested.
raphina same player just found his position more centrally in a 343 where left back becomes lw and raphina tucks in creating a 334.

we can blame all we want on the board. but the board doesnt make xavi play what player. if ur not spanish or a lamasia player ur not worth a damn to xavi. its very evident. he goes after mostly spanish players or portuguese.
u can blame deco for vitor all u want it wasnt his transfer it was alemanys. its a deal that has been on for almost 2 years deco wasnt here.
the way xavi is playing this team and using this team instead of following the script barcas old style isnt working. the philosophy would. the style wont. even pep changed to a 4321 as should we. he dont have a real defensive mid. rodri isnt a defensive mid no matter how u wanna define him. he is closer to box to box than a defensive mid. he is just good at all of it. zubi is among the only 3-5 elite defensive mids with propper ball handling skills and passes. if he dont wanna come then dont get a out of prime kimmich who is not a cdm. just promote a youngster and play 4231 with fermin and gavi infront of them both of em have insane box to box workrates. or switch to a 343 our players are suited for it no need for insane transfers. just a proper lw and sell some dead weight and get some reinforcements and we good.

I am never confident with Xavi against top teams in Europe. Struggling to win, barely scraping 1-0 wins in La Liga vs mid-low tier teams
I really hope he doesn’t give up on coaching. He should coach another club in Spain.
The things he has to improve are 1) In game substitutions – this will improve with experience 2) Not losing his temper during the game and getting send off.
I hope to see him back here in few years when we are financially better off.
England would be a good place to try too. West Ham, New Castle etc could be great.
For me it is about how we play. I dont care about stats, I care about how we play to earn those stats. We are awful when it comes to our game playing. Put in crosses and inshallah
Look at the trophies as well. It does matter in which competition you lose and when.
