Because Bayern Munich are a bigger club than Brighton. He’d be tasked with building a team capable of winning the Champions League.
Also considering Brighton’s poorer season this season compared to last, if there’s still interest from a big club now it might be his last chance if Brighton’s form next season remains the same or worsens.
Among loads of other reasons. This really shouldn’t be a question
Because it’s Bayern and it’s a better job than Brighton.
because the only reason de zerbi is at Brighton is to put himself in the shop window for a job like bayern….
hello?
Why might a manager want to leave Brighton for the Bayern Munich job? Now that’s a thinker.
Not like the grass is very green at Brighton loly
A Bayern shitshow is still one of the biggest clubs in the world. He’d have to screw up spectacularly to completely tarnish his career.
If he does even decently, it’ll be a good move for him. Well worth the risk.
He’d do well to do worse than this season. He might not win the league for Bayern, but surely he’d keep them in the race longer than this season. I’m not a Brighton fan, or a fan of De Zerbi for the record
You get what you fuckin’ De Zerbi
Why? The opportunity to manage one of the top clubs in the world. Once you’re in the seat, all that matters is how you perform. This logic is only valid if Bayern was trying to date him.
Because it’s fuckin Bayern
If I’m 8th in line for a promotion I’m still taking it lol
Because it’s Bayern Munich… hello
….Because Bayern is one of the biggest clubs in the world and half the sub probably hadn’t heard of Brighton 10 years ago.
Because it’s Bayern freaking Munich. A chance to coach one of the truly elite clubs doesn’t come every day. Even if he gets sacked after a couple of seasons, he’ll still have Bayern coach in his resume, and that alone will get him some solid opportunities afterward.
Is he really 8th choice, considering he was heavily rumoured as a preferred alternative to Xabi Alonso
Big bag of money to do a dream job? Anybody takes that.
On my knees for us to sack Poch and get De Zerbi. Please Boehly and Eghbali….
You drive a Corolla – a reasonable well running machine. You don’t have many risks.
Someone pulls up and throws you the keys to their ferrari – bigger risk of crash/death but man wouldn’t it be fun to drive with all that horsepower (money)
Also you’re driving the Corolla in Atlanta traffic, the Ferrari is normally on a closed course but occasionally another driver gives you a bit of a race (leverkusen and Dortmund)
Why wouldn’t he? Brighton to Bayern. Average manager. Take your chance whilst you can.
What a dumb question.
There is maybe 10 clubs at the Bayern Tier you can manage. There is 60-70 at the Brighton Tier.
Take the job, if it doesn’t work out you will absolutely get multiple chances at the secondary tier and probably anothe undeserved one at the top even if you do fail.
Well considering Brighton sold the whole midfield and didn’t help de zerbi properly replace them after making 150m+. He would pretty much have just the same amount of control if he went to Bayern tbh.
I think de zerbi’s a better fit for a la liga or serie a team. Bayern board exercises too much control over how the squad plays for de zerbi. I think he should go to Juventus.
Why would a manager leave a mid table prem team to join one of the top 10 biggest teams in the world? Is this a joke? Lmao
