[Music] Sela GES [Music] would you say that your character’s line is going to make history as one of the sexiest dialogue in Spanish ever heard I don’t know if I’m sexy and for that but um I mean well that’s the writing that’s the writing that’s that’s definitely not me I think it was genuinely um a very powerful moment and in the movie and uh it’s it’s very poetic
“Emilia Perez”, a musical crime comedy film about a Mexican drug lord who wants out of the cartel and undergoes a sex change, premiered at Cannes on Saturday. The film – directed by French master Jacques Audiard – has received glittering reviews, suggesting it may be in line to win the top prize the Palme d’Or. Popstar-turned-actor Selena Gomez stars as the boss’s unsuspecting wife in a surprisingly gritty role. During the film’s press conference, she answered a journalist’s question about how her character could mark the history of cinema.
