Honestly I’m kinda looking forward to him. Something new, something fresh. And his playstyle should fit in. Best case: Kompany turns out great and we keep him. Wirst case he turns out bad and we go for Pep or Seb.
Please end this
Shiver me timbers
Awful if true. We are third biggest club in Europe and we go for a fired Burnley manager?
At least in terms of tactics, it wouldn’t be a bad decision.
His tactical approach suits the current squad, but it’s flexible enough to adapt to injuries and absences, his tactics are also quite balanced and not as transition oriented as Tuchel, he focuses a bit more on possession, so he may help this squad become a bit better with the ball.
The most difficult part for him would be going from a last place team fighting for non-relegation, to a squad desperate for trophies that in theory is expected to play at a high level, also, dealing with locker room divas may be a problem (but that applies to any Bayern manager).
I just don’t get it from his perspective. You’re a young, promising coach, however your stock has taken a hit in the past year as you immediately got relegated.
Why on earth would you put it all on the line for a club who has not had a manager make it through two consecutive seasons without being fired in like a decade? Seems like an insanely risky play from his end.
I obviously care about this most from a Bayern perspective, so with this in mind, it begs the question: will he stand up for himself when Uli inevitably comes after him? Will he pick the lineups he feels are best, or the safe bets in hopes of pleasing the bosses and keeping his job?
I respect him as a player and a manager, just not the right fit at this stage IMO.
How is Kompany a better option than Hansi? Hansi who actually won something. I don’t get it, I know for sure if we appoint Kompany we are done for the season before it even starts
How far we have fallen 🤣🤣🤣 just kidding. Idk anything Kompany coaching prowess but even 2-3 yrs ago his name would not have been anywhere near this discussion.
Honestly this years JHV will be really interesting. We members really need to put pressure on Uli and the board. This is a level of stupidity atm that can lead to even more issues than just a season like this with a 3rd place. I feel more like at a club like HSV when their downfall started. Our club got successful because we did such things orderly and behind the scenes
> Bayern followed Anderlecht under Vincent Kompany while their scouts were watching Joshua Zirkzee, who was on loan at the Belgian club. Kompany had success at Burnley last season, when he won the Championship with dominant and attacking football and was voted manager of the year. Despite Burnley’s relegation this season, the perception is that he stuck to a philosophy that you can only put into practice in the Premier League with top players. It had worked in the Championship, for which Burnley’s players did have enough qualities. The idea is that with a better squad, like that of Bayern, Kompany’s ideas and philosophy could work much better. The link with Pep Guardiola, with whom Kompany worked for three years at Manchester City and whose football philosophy he largely adopted, also supports his candidacy at Bayern [@Nieuwsblad_be]

this is what we get for home cl finals?
Idk how many of you guys watch Calcio Berlin since its a german podcast, but one of their main points/wishes was that Bayern would be a little more daring in their appointment since there is no clear available Nr. 1 and the „safe“options dont really progress the club in a sustainable way.
I agree and I think Kompany would be exactly that kind of a daring appointment. I think no one really knows how this hire will turn out but Kompany has the necessities to become a good coach
This is surely gonna be a big Hit or big Miss move! We are having a final in Allianz and we are so clueless about the coach! Plus we need a lot of players in and out from attack and defence!! The task is so huge for the management. Absolute cinema is waiting ahead these upcoming months.
It’s so easy to be journalist this day.
Write then news about – oh Bayern is talking with an X.
Then write then news about – deal with X getting colder / warmer and failed.
Move to another X.
Nonsense
This is the end guys. I don’t think that he is able to end the upcoming season with great results. There are too many things that need to get fixed.
Ko mpany?
Bring Pochettino. Better then Vince.
Then i take Mauricio Pochettino before Kompany
Please Chelski hire him before us please please please
He isn’t even the best manager who got relegated from the Premier League. Mental
So we’re leaving options open for a manager that got relegated from the premier league?
Every scrub coach is now making themselves available where have we fallen to how are you gonna compete with the other top country teams with kompany
Poch = not bald. Truly the perfect appointment
I wouldn’t be surprised if we got poch
He would be the first black coach at Bayern. 🇨🇩
That would be just an awesome decision 🔴⚪️

What about Pochettino? I have no clue about Kompany’s coach skills, but Poch could be the safer option
As a player Kompany was a strong leader and an intelligent footballer. Personality wise he was nothing but professional at all times, the kind of player that managers love to have on their team.
Tactically he’s probably been influenced by Guardiola a lot. He’s already experienced the highs and lows of football management with a small club but hasn’t experienced managing at a big club yet.
Were this hire to go ahead it would be a departure from what Bayern is usually used to. It would be the opposite of playing it safe which is what I would expect Bayern to do in a time like this. But Bayern is clearly willing to gamble a fair bit here, and it may or may not work out, only time will tell.
But I think there is potential for it to work out really well. Every great manager has to start out somewhere, someone needs to take a chance on them.
When Barca hired Frank Rijkaard he had just been relegated with Sparta Rotterdam for the first time in their history. They didn’t hire him for his accomplishments as a manager, and he wasn’t a former player of Barca. He was hired for his attacking football philosophy and also because he was a protégé of Cruyff. And even though he had a rocky start, he ultimately won Barca the UCL and the La Liga two times.
