31. The pro-Putin stance taken by the HT is very disappointing. Ukraine is a peaceful sovereign nation which was very aggressively invaded by its neighbour Russia. Russian forces then proceeded to target mainly civilian locations, murdered and raped Ukrainian men, women and children, and have kidnapped thousands of Ukrainian children to Russia. Russia is clearly the aggressor and has in this war alone committed thousands of war crimes. Putin is now wanted by the International Criminal Court as a war criminal.

    Why the HT should therefore be such staunch supporters of Putin's Russia simply defeats all logic. The publication has shown itself to be morally bankrupt for these very reasons, and I'm surprised that anyone takes the HT seriously any more.
