Severe Storms spin off tornadoes in Kentucky

Search teams on Sunday picked through wreckage left by tornado-spawning thunderstorms that swept the US Southern Plains and Ozarks, killing at least 14 people and wrecking hundreds of buildings as forecasters warned of more severe weather over the holiday weekend

As storms shifted to the northeast, Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear declared a State of Emergency, citing “multiple reports of wind damage and tornadoes.”

Over 190,000 customers were without power in Kentucky, according to Poweroutage.us.
