the criticism of Trevisani was hard but not wrong tho. Lautaro was benched and Alvarez became the starter. he scored the penalties when he was needed the most (which is a miracle for him) but his world cup wasn’t really great.
he brought home the world cup yes, but messi did the hard work.

“water bottle holder” is often used to diss players that barely play, he had a lot of minutes even after getting benched. Yes, not very productive but still it’s not like he was a bystander.
