A new twist in Sergi Roberto’s contract extension moves the Barça captain further away from Barça. The club cannot promise that he will be able to sign his contract and the captain’s entourage has already started the procedures to renew it.

  2. It’s not always about numbers. Yes he is not on the Barcelona level but it seems that he is enormous influence behind the scene. Only guy left from the golden era and his influence on young up and coming youngsters like Lamine, Fort , Pau, Fermin could be huge. Him leaving will not make almost any difference for our financial situation. Who could we get on a free transfer that will play for his wage and at the same time be better than him?

  4. Main problem with Sergi staying is that at some point, that means he will play. And if it’s against any team that’s not 10th or below, we will suffer. Please, let him go
