I am Ukrainian. My country has been invaded by Russia. In this video, I will tell you what happened on the 826 day of the war.

Day 826: May 29

Today, there are a lot of updates from the Kharkiv direction.

In Vovchansk, the situation remains highly fluid as Ukrainian forces continue their counteroffensive operations. Ukrainian troops have successfully stabilized the area, with analysts estimating that around 38,000 Ukrainian soldiers are deployed in this direction, compared to approximately 14,000 Russian troops. Recent developments highlight substantial efforts by Ukrainian forces to regain control and secure key strategic areas.

Firstly, Ukrainian forces have successfully restored a critical bridge near Staryi Saltiv, significantly enhancing their logistical capabilities and enabling the smooth movement of troops and supplies. Recent footage from the European Sentinel satellite reveals that Ukrainian engineers have deployed a pontoon bridge, which is crucial for sustaining the counteroffensive operations in the area by ensuring continuous support for the advancing Ukrainian units.

Secondly, various military observers report that Ukrainian forces have concentrated significant numbers in Billy Kolodiaz, preparing for a counterattack. This small settlement, located about 15 km southeast of Vovchansk, occupies a strategic height, providing quick and direct access for deploying counterattacking forces. In response, Russian forces have attempted to destroy bridges on the Vovcha River to hinder Ukrainian advances. Despite these efforts, the Ukrainian counteroffensive is progressing, creating instability and vulnerability within the Russian positions in Vovchansk. Reports suggest that Russian forces are preparing to retreat due to the persistent Ukrainian counterattacks.

Lieutenant Colonel Nazar Voloshyn, spokesperson for the Ukrainian Khortytsia Group of Forces, stated that Russian forces are attempting to make tactical gains in Vovchansk to establish footholds for future advances. However, Ukrainian counterattacks, along with effective artillery and drone strikes, are thwarting these efforts. Both Ukrainian and Russian sources describe Russian operations in the area as defensive, with Ukrainian forces increasingly seizing the tactical initiative.

Recent geolocated images depict a segment of a counter-offensive operation conducted by the Siberian Battalion, a military unit composed of Russian citizens. This battalion was among the first to confront the Russian advance in the ongoing Kharkiv offensive and continues to engage in some of the most intense combat in the region. The images reveal the assault group entering a fortified position, which appears to be consistent with fortifications constructed by Ukrainian authorities in recent months. This suggests that these positions were initially captured by Russian forces and later recaptured by Ukrainian troops during a counterattack. Inside the fortification, the soldiers encountered the remains of eliminated Russian soldiers. Additional footage from the 82nd Ukrainian Airborne Assault Brigade showcases urban combat within the city of Vovchansk. Ukrainian forces advanced in an American “Stryker” armored personnel carrier, navigating through various streets and frequently firing its main machine gun. The video culminates with soldiers dismounting from the vehicle and deploying an ATGM missile to strike a Russian position, resulting in a massive explosion. The original uncensored video of this operation can be found on our Telegram channel as well.

Despite Ukrainian successes, Russian forces have made considerable efforts to saturate the area with manpower and equipment to prevent Ukrainian forces from seizing the tactical initiative. Ukrainian officials stated that their forces are effectively pushing Russian troops out of captured positions, but the dense deployment of Russian personnel and resources continues to pose significant challenges. According to Russian military bloggers, Ukrainian forces maintain a presence at the Vovchansk Aggregate Plant in central Vovchansk on the northern bank of the Vovcha River, highlighting the ongoing intense engagements in urban areas…

  2. Sweden has given the green light and Sweden has provided Ukraine with eight ARCHER 155mm self-propelled howitzers. Very fast, ideal for shoot and scoot operations. They have an effective firing rang in exes of 40km with base-bleed projectiles, whereas the Russian 152 mm howitzer D-20 has a maximum firing range of 24 km even whit a rocket assisted projectile.
Placing them close to the front will always be risky, it’s not only about enemy artillery, I know, but considering the asymmetrical situation in the Kharkiv direction wouldn’t it be worth it?

  3. Anyway Russia still has an advantage in almost every type of equipment and a minimum 3+ to 1 men reserves advantage.

And the half-year equipment starvation hasn’t been compensated, the war equipment supplies merely continued, as the half-year emptiness hasn’t happened…

  4. This video shows how Ukrainian forces can advance, when they have equal or greater numbers of fighters. Is there any news about progress in increasing recruitment? Unless that increase in recruitment can be sustained, there can be few offensive initiatives for Ukraine.

  5. Man, for anyone that hasn't utilized that code he gives at 3:00 (and throughout, I aaaume) that wants to see some truly excellent war footage, and a lot of varied types, go take a look. You can scroll through tons of video, including some from excellent groups like the Kracken, and hit 20-30 videos in a very short time. Whoever put the list together did an excellent job, too…someone on this team. It is all very relevant and gives an excellent overview of different aspects of the conflict. I am truly impressed.

Some of it I have seen on the several channels I watch, including 'The Enforcer" daily maps, but several I have not. I didn't see anything truly gross in the ones I watched, but there are bodies in some, and some minor battle damage. NOTHING like that km and a half walk through the tree line if you saw it, but I don't know if that kind of stuff is in there, because I watched about 20-30 minutes through probably 10-15 videos, so not a lot. Anyway, there it is, for what it is worth.

  6. Being conditioned to so much death in the media is impossible for most Americans and Europeans. They can't comprehend it due to their weak sensitivities. Courage only comes in the face of death. Slava Ukrain and to her heroes. And what heroes they are. Bless them all.
    Russia go home.

  7. Excellent news that the bridge has been replaced for easier access, it seems the situation becomes better for Ukraine 🇺🇦💪

  8. You are falling directly into Russian defenses huge mistake strategic moves always win over tactical moves and actually having the personal will ultimately prevail

  9. I can't listen to your propaganda crap anymore. It's all lies and nothing more. I've just seen the latest news and maps. The Russians are gaining more land every day and the Ukrainian army can't do anything about it. Ukraine won't win back a single millimeter with lies. What they hold one day, they lose the next and then have to withdraw. Stop with your lying crap. Have you learned that from the USA ???????

  10. Thank you RfU for providing the embedded QR codes in your reporting. They are like footnotes in a written report, that allow us to connect to the original sources and verify content for ourselves. Am I wrong in thinking this is the first report here that uses QR source links?? As always, stay safe, and wishing you and all Ukrainians a safe and rewarding future…

  11. I can't help but think — with the way Ukrainian forces have held their own with TOO-restrictive RoE — that Russian forces would quickly lose morale, and leave if the gloves were to come off.

The stupid rules Ukraine has to fight under are a huge handicap.

  12. Ukraine are now on a winning streak and I don’t think the Russians will be able too stop them because Ukraine have now got some marvellous new weapons from America and NATO countries.

  13. And just shows how desperate that tyrant Putin is for troops because he has now going to use the Taliban too help him out iff it happens they will be sitting ducks with the clothes they wear making them easy targets.
