When Man City needed a goal Jack Grealish was ignored – his career is at a crossroads

  1. Grealish would do well at another team.

Pep’s style of play stifles flair players so you have to be able to work in the system.

  2. We would love to see him unite with Dean Smith in Charlotte FC

  3. Villa played a blinder selling him to City. Villa have continued to improve following his departure which is more than can be said for Jack perhaps because of the way that City opted to play him or following his transfer, he simply lost his hunger 🤷🏽

  4. I never understood why Pep bought him tbh just not a Pep Man City player. Slows play down with his obsession with dribbling & taking on 3-4 players … hasn’t learnt when to dribble or just play it early

Looks great but no end product … one trick pony, defenders know what he’ll do. Works hard & seems a fun guy

You still need a good footballing brain – has he got that?

    Wasn’t meant to be maybe … £100 million 😂

  5. pep losts its charm after barca imo, he won lots of epl but only by 1,2 points while spending twice as much as competitors, grealish needs to escape or his career is doomed

  6. He’s got his trophies and money. Surely, he can play somewhere else and show what he’s really about.

  7. I remember at the time when Sancho and Grealish both had their moves they’d have been better going the other way around. Grealish would’ve probably done better playing more freely at Man Utd and sancho probably would’ve thrived in a structured city side

  8. Thanks for the £100 million. They overpaid by about £50 million IMO.

  9. He got so unlucky with injuries this season. Came back and was almost immediately gone again.

When he was playing we were noticeably better. We lacked control when he wasn’t playing. But Doku has taken off in the last few months, and with Savio coming in as another winger, it might be difficult for Jack to compete.

Maybe Pep will fit him somewhere. We are changing the system again I think. Pep is going back to pacy direct wingers like Sane and Sterling, which will require legs in midfield (explains the move for Guimaraes) and presumably proper full backs (would partially explain Frimpong).

  10. Well Jack lad, if Villa don’t want you back then you’re more than welcome here at Leicester😇 Just a free transfer pls as we can’t fuck up our ffp again please and thank you x

  11. City doing what they do best, buying talented players so nobody else can have them and then sucking the creativity. Would have thrived more at Arsenal, liverpool or Man Utd.

  12. He wins a lot of foul though, he reminds me of Hazard, in that regard.

  13. He’s excellent at recycling the ball, drawing aggro, forcing fouls and adds control and stability which all go well in a possession-based system. While his direct goal contributions could be better, I think he does well at opening opportunities for others to assist and score. I actually feel like he played his part in man city’s treble season.

Hard to say where his career goes from here tbh. Haven’t followed man city too much this season and I know he’s had injuries so idk. Surely Doku doesn’t start over him in an ideal scenario?

  14. He’s doing everything right, saving his knees sitting in that bench, collecting massive pay cheques, all the while being promoted as the media darling of Man City and English football. He is being managed very well
