1. If there is one thing we have enough of it’s right-footed CBs that are not very good on the ball. (this in response of the Tah rumors)

   That’s the whole reason Dier got so much playing time…

   Fürich would be good in a Shaqiri type role but we need our Robbery first before thinking about their backups. (And we could use the money elsewhere with all the needed transfers)

   Goretzka is the same story as the CBs. Not good enough on the ball, bad fit with Pavlovic. Need a strong DM that’s not afraid of the ball.

   The LB should be more tactically adept than Davies ideally, too many mistakes and lost balls for no reason.

   I‘m not opposed to the 4-2-2-2 that Kompany plays a lot of. Zirkzee would be ideal for that Role with Tel getting more playing time in his preferred position as well.

   But assuming 4-2-3-1 is the way to go a starting caliber LW is still needed (I‘d sell both Coman and Gnabry).

2. So….which player do we see injuring themselves in one of these risky last two friendlies right before the Euros? (Regardless of nationality)

   There’s always someone.

   My money is on Coman and Malen.

3. Sometimes I wonder if we should go for an actual superstar every once in a while if they’ve proven themselves enough. This is based on how well Kane has worked for us. We shelled out a league record fee and got a top goal scorer and probably the best striker on the planet.

   The one guy I’ve got in mind for this is Kvaratskelia from Napoli. He’s been unbelievable for the past 2 seasons, and the only reason he didn’t get similar goal contributions this year is because of Osimhen having an off season. He’s able to create very directly, can take on a man, and he’s got great end product, be it a key pass or a goal. He’s also clearly not a one-season wonder either.

   He won’t come cheap, easy 100 million. But for someone like him, he could absolutely transform the team and imo it’s worth going for the guy.
