Based off of the most consistent rumours over the past few months and current team news, this might be our squad depth for 24-25 and it is insane!

I’m assuming we’ll switch back to a 4-3-3, and this looks like the most balanced starting XI in my opinion. I’ve included the secondary options in the positions they usually occupy (ex: Modrić occupies the right side of a midfield 3 usually, and Camavinga is a better box to box threat than he is a pure DM, though again in my opinion).

Rafa Marín has a good loan tenure too, and after the injury scares at the start of the season it seems likely there’ll be an extra defender in the squad. I really hope Nacho is convinced to stay though, I think he’s been an incredible servant of the club over the years and a very solid player that can play across the entire backline.

What do you guys think about the squad balance if this ends up becoming the case?

  1. Insane, i think we will have to prepare for Brahim asking to leave this summer though. Just have a feeling he will + he is easily talented enough to start on a Europa League level side. Same goes for Lunin.

    Inject this fucking shit into my vein… have been waiting for so loooong for some good depth after that 16/17 season.

    PS – the hell with Davies, have never looked even close to his form back in 2020, Fran and Mendy are more than enough.

    People dont want to hear this but i think we’re gonna loan or sell at least 1 player.

    Allegedly the board wanted Guler to play as CM but after his insane goalscoring run Ancelotti says he wants him near the box, and that diminishes his chances of gettin minutes .Suffering from success.

  5. Add Ceballos here, you need depth in the midfield. Fran is only an option from Castilla and he doesn’t have a number in the main team

  7. I really doubt that Davies and Yoro will join this summer.

  8. Nacho or yoro for militao. Rudiger and militao partnership is horrible.
