Bayern have made an improved offer to Alphonso Davies worth around €13m fixed plus a max. of €4m bonuses per year. The driving force behind the negotiations is Max Eberl, who is at the wheel, is trying to put together the squad that Vincent Kompany wants to work with. [@hannalein3 @kessler_philipp]

  1. >Bayern have made an improved offer to Alphonso Davies worth around €13m fixed plus a maximum of €4m bonuses per year. The driving force behind the negotiations is Max Eberl who is trying to put together the squad that Vincent Kompany wants to work with. Kompany is a big fan of Davies and wants him to stay. Nevertheless, Bayern bosses are adamant that they will not be manipulated and will not extend Davies’ contract at any price. Uli Hoeneß in particular is said to have been very critical of Davies’ development in recent months

  2. >we won’t let ourselves get manipulated

And yet we improved our offer by 4M after our “ultimatum” has run out

  3. Eberl will be the downfall of Bayern

Being the mean reason for signing a relegated coach during Kane’s prime years

Wanting to pay 40+ mil for a 29 year old

And now paying Davies this much money

I just hope we don’t turn into Man Utd under Eberl

  4. Wanting to extend with Davies but putting Kimmich up for sale is peak comedy.

    Absolute clown fest

  5. sorry, but this is just completely ridiculous! davies wanted to GO, he made a decision! then real doesn’t want him, and we still trying now to give him more? the last season was so bullshit of him, i can’t understand how we trying to keep him here.

  6. Well if Kompany wants him to stay and the €4m bonuses are based on personal goals and not on team achievements, I think that’s quite fair considering our negotiating position.

  7. Didn’t they want to fix the salary structure? Offering Davies potentially 17 million a year sounds like the opposite of that.

The only way I can explain this is that Kompany really wants to keep him and the alternative (T. Hernandez?) would have been even more expensive.
