  1. Delighted as a rival fan. Really don’t think he’s good enough. You’re not a good manager if one player being out fucks up your whole philosophy and makes you go back to playing Ole ball. Plus United got lucky on many occasions last year, could have easily finished 14th.

Delighted to be able to watch the circus for another season until Southgate comes in.

  2. Not only is he staying, he’s getting his contract renewed.

So when he fucks up again, having sunk the club even further into FFP trouble in signing his agents players, he’ll get a ridiculous payout.

Big chance for Ineos and they fucked it

  3. Just shows everyone that United will never shine again…you can polish a turd but you can mold it for the championship league!!

  4. Well congratulations to the rest of the league. An awful awful decision by INEOS who are quickly showing their incompetence. Extremely disappointed with this decision, and you just know rival fans are celebrating this.

  5. I feel sorry for him. Honestly he should be somewhere he’s appreciated. The problems at United aren’t because of Ten Hag.

  6. I think he’ll have success next season, this whole season was just one big injury shitshow plus having his job security being hung over his head must’ve been exhausting. He showed in the fa cup final he can do the job and clearly cares.

Where are the fucking clown talking heads on skysports etc that were so confident he was gonna be sacked regardless of the cup final win? Won’t have it in them to admit they were wrong I bet

  7. Best decision. Any other available manager was a sideways move that brought their own problems.

  8. Didn’t The Guardian newspaper say he was getting the sack?

  9. Absolutely shambolic. I don’t recall there being this many top coaches on the market and now they’re doubling down on mediocrity. My f***ing club is a joke.

Coaches they should have at least interviewed:
    – De Zerbi
    – Poch
    – Graham Potter
    – Zizou
    – Tuchel
    – Allegri
    – Sarry

    Insane bad business.

  10. Finishing 8th with a negative goal difference, not making it out of Champions league groups, terrible signings, this is a coup for rival fans

  11. If he didnt win the FA cup he’s not only sacked but the fickle United fan base want him out…that’s a fact!!
because he won it, they forgot everything lol

Worst finish in prem history for United
    Most losses etc

I’m not a United Fan, so I find it amusing

  12. Aye, celebrations for everyone. United fans can carry on deluding themselves about how great he is and the rest of us can be satisfied knowing they aren’t going anywhere any time soon.

  13. Fantastic news… for the other 19 clubs in the league

  14. Couldn’t sack him after garnacho and mainoos development + fa cup win really.

  15. The important question is, what are his expectations for next year? Another finish outside the top 4 and the possibility of silverware?

I cannot see ETH improving. As a United fan, I wish I could and I hope that I am wrong. We’ll see what happens regarding signings but if we sign anymore overpriced tat from Ajax it would prove that nothing has changed.

  16. Outsider here. I don’t rate him highly but I will say United actually sticking w a manager for consistency is probably a good thing. Too often in sports, especially football, coaches aren’t given anywhere near enough time. Regardless, his football has to be better and he’s gotta make top four for me to keep him. They should be able to compete for EL and top four easily.

  17. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

  18. What a fucking circus this has been from the media, and from the club who brief them.

I know scrutiny over his job far extends through most of last season, but these last few weeks in particular have been the most pathetic.

  19. So he stopped “predicting” and now just reports on what is common knowledge? Yeah.

  20. On the plus side it shouldn’t be that difficult to improve on last season. Or will it?

  21. Congrats Ten Hag.

Won a couple trophies and is developing the young lads. Not sure why this took so long.

  22. This is the single worst footballing decision I have ever seen.

There were no highlights, no positives, no break throughs, no potential and no upside.

They were the worst coached team I’ve ever seen. They gave up second most shots in Europes top 5 leagues. That is embarrassing.

If Ten Hag loses one game then he’s immediately on the hot seat again. They have a bad team and a bad coach who is miles out of his depth. They have no chance of doing anything and it seems almost impossible that Ten Hag even makes it to Christmas.

Insane decision from an utterly pathetic club.
