If he refuses to leave and saves us from ourselves, I’ll love him even more than I already do. Crazy to want to sell IMO our best CB to save money, there is other ways we can do that without shooting outselves in the foot.
1. Sell two of the most dedicated figures at the club due to their contracts
* Replace said players with B-tiers who should be fighting to get into the matchday squad
* Give a meaty extension to a underperfoming player who has been taking Spanish lessons all season

Like I’m not a Bayern fan just lurking here, but De Ligt in the Bayern jersey just looks right said that during the Ajax CL run already.
His mentality and vibe just seems to fit the club and he’s the best defender (at least when it’s about pure defending) as far as I noticed in the games I watched, maybe he doesn’t fit Company’s system as well as others, but definitely at least as well as Tah if not better.
Selling him just seems stupid, great young player with leadership qualities and the market doesn’t look that great for selling him, so unless the wage structure is a huge issue, there’s no way you sell him.
