  1. Wouldn’t mind cashing in on Illing Jr, but I’d rather keep Mckennie than get Douglas Luiz. Mckennie has the ability to change a game around from his bursts of energy he brings to the pitch. He’s good in the air. I think we’ll regret this one.

  2. Douglas Luiz will be the Miralem Pjanic of the current Juve. His passing range is very good and he has good awareness for keeping the ball. I think this deal will be a great one for us!

  3. If we manage to pull this off it’s going to be a great piece of business, hats off Giuntoli

  4. Sounds too good to be true. I’m expecting a sudden change in narrative soon.

  5. I think its a bit to much to give 2 players and cash, one player and cash i can understand….

  6. I don’t understand what we’re doing. Yes we are getting rid of players we didn’t want but we are offering more players than we are getting back in like 3 different deals. We had a problem with squad depth already.

  7. Please for the love of god don’t sell Iling, keep both see what Motta can do

  8. I don’t understand how juve are doing this with swaps. If anyone actually read the judgment for capital gains last year, we got in trouble for recording swap deals as individual transfers. Swaps need to be conducted at book value and not a transfer value. So either we will do this deal according to the rules, in which case the cash differential is predetermined based on the variance between Douglas Luiz residual book value at Villa, and Illing and Mckennies combined book value at juve. I don’t see how they arrive at the 20mio reported cash portion with these numbers.

The alternative is to do a pjanic/arthur style one where we risked getting shafted for doing the same thing. There is no way a judge looks at these transfers as individual and independent.

Im psyched about the transfer, but very concerned we being super dumb by doing the same thing again only to have another drama filled battle over our transfers. The worst is that it could come back to bite us in like 2-3 years, we have no idea.

Im telling myself our management can’t be that daft right, Ferrero is a chartered accountant, and holds some high profile auditor positions. This is literally his bread and butter and the entire point of him being here – to sort this stuff out. There is no way he would let something fishy get by him right?!

  9. Random question in the wrong place. Is Pogba still on Juve’s books? Or was his contract terminated?
