Pentagon Pressed On Ukraine’s Engagement Rules Expanding To Include ‘Everywhere’ In Russia

go here to CNN thanks General Ryder so National Security adviser Sullivan said earlier this week that with regards to the policy allowing the US to allowing Ukraine to use usma weapons to strike over the border into Russia that policy quote extends to anywhere that Russian forces are coming across the border from the Russian side to the Ukrainian side so is that consistent with the pentagon’s understanding of this policy or has the policy expanded Beyond just that kind of narrow car Keef region that it was initially understood to be uh when this policy decision was made yeah so there there has been no change in the policy uh and really at the end of the day this comes down to counterfire right and what you saw in the carke region as Russia was conducting its offensive was the massing of of forces artillery fire Preparatory fire into Ukraine uh as they conducted these operations and so uh the ability to be able to fire back when fired upon uh is really what what this policy is focused on so again as we see Russian forces uh firing across the border uh you know the ability for for Ukraine to fire back at those Ground Forces uh using us provided Munitions it’s self-defense and so it makes sense for them to be able to do that and that applies only to the Border areas or could it be further into Russia or does that again you know if you if you look back at kind of the early days of this war and you had Russian forces that were you know and still are to a large degree but in Mass within Ukrainian occupied territory what you saw were Force onforce conflicts that were happening within Sovereign Ukraine so in this case what you see is Russian forces attempting to use their border uh as a safe Zone from which to conduct Preparatory fires and attacks into Ukraine uh in support of offensive actions and so again as we see those forces conducting those types of operations uh from across the border we’ve explained you know Ukraine can and does have the right to fire back uh to defend themselves so again not a change to the policy that was announced earlier now when it comes to long-term or excuse me long range Munitions like attack thems uh again there’s been no change in the policy in in that regard it’s broader than just car to be clear correct it you know it’s focusing on the Strategic intent here which is counterfire when you’re attacked yeah returning fire

Pentagon Press Secretary Pat Ryder was asked about the expansion of Ukraine’s engagement rules using US weaponry.

  1. Okay…this is out of control and should have been resolved already. They're really going to directly take on Russia? Just how many Ukraine's do they have? Oh we're supposed to go over there

  2. There is NOTHING STOPPING Russia or North Korea from attacking the American mainland or Joe Biden just say DON'T thing save us all

  3. I got nothing for Ukraine! NATO is foreigners that bring weapons and prejudice. Zelenskyy needs to be replaced with a real man that can talk to Putin openly and with confidence. Pathetic bs we are supporting a defense agenda in that region. Cousins fight! Remember that humanity

  4. "WAR is a RACKET. It always has been.
It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives." – USMC Major General Smedley Butler (1935)

  5. Gen. Pat Ryder:

"If you (kinda), look back of the early days of this war."

Between April 14 and December 31, 2014, the number of Russian civilians killed in Ukraine, exceeded two thousand. Up until 2021, there's been 25, conflict-related deaths in Ukraine.

    1) Why have they stoped counting after the year, 2021?

    2) In the Holy Name of Left Wing 'Diversity and Tolerance…

How many Russian civilians are left in that region of Ukraine?

This was probably the last Russian civilian standing in Ukraine:

  6. If Ukraine isn't allowed to attack communications, power grids, transportation, etc near, or around the Kremlin, an anywhere in Russia we might as well stop sending aid to Ukraine, because we're wasting munitions on cannon fodder that will be replaced by the end of the month, irregardless of the military resources importance that's destroyed. Everyone in the USA, NATO, EU, an, or allied force's don't seem to understand the consumption rate of China, India, Brazil, Russia, Iran, and many other's in BRICS, therefore they spew disinformation of no further expansion from BRICS, that has literally 2/3 or the world population now in their economy, it's not sustainable nor is our safety, it's just like the USA claiming protecting the Red Sea and wasting billions monthly is more cost effective than rerouting commercial trade to prevent loss of vessels and product, an it's not, besides defending the trade of our enemies, who have military escorts and can easily sink our Navy, the unknown cocaine in the White House, or on USA bases in South Korean/Japan, or anywhere, bases has got your egos to far in Narnia.

  7. Why does this current administration and Pentagon WANT a war with Russia? – Ukraine cannot win a war against Russia, but instead of seeking a peace agreement this current administration keeps urging Ukraine to kill its regeneration population AND escalate an unwinnable war – what's in it for Biden and Co.?…

  8. Zelensky was invited to celebrate the anniversary of the Allied landings in Normandy for a reason. If it were not for the Ukrainians, the Allies would not have been able to successfully carry out the Normandy landings. The Ukrainian SS units were the first to leave their positions and rushed to flee, because to fight against the landing of the regular army is not to rob and slaughter Poles and Jews in villages.

  9. West/NATO shouldn't be imposing RULES regarding Bombing. NATO making rules, results in a PROXY War NATO vs Russia.
LET Ukraine make the decisions and live with the consequences.

  10. Ok so first they funded a coup in 2014, placed their own puppets in Kiev in order to provoke a war with Russia after killing ethic Russians in Ukraine mostly in Donbass and now pretending to support Ukrainian neonazi regime.. that's disgusting, they just want to make the conflict last as long as they can as if they wanted the lands to be empty of people to let Blackrock and Vanguard do their things on the 45 % acquired Ukrainian lands… disgusting!

  11. This is double speak
Is this the understanding that if Russia fires from Moscow into Ukraine then Ukraine is allowed to use American munition into sT. Petersburg for example?

  12. Several comments about NATO imposing limits, being late to supply, et cetera. DO NOT FORGET THAT RUSSIAN AGENTS ARE WORKING IN VARIOUS COUNTRIES. In the US, the number one traitor is Donald Trump.

  13. Ukraine massacred around 30,000 Russian speaking civilians since illegal coup organized by Victoria Nuland in 2014. They even burned 60 people alive in the Russian city of Odessa. Why no one talks about that?

  14. Apparently putin Never heard of the saying "Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death ". American values expand our borders because if tyranny prevails, it will eventually come knocking on our door step. Putin is right that our allies are our satelites. As we are the satelites to them. And our territory expands anywhere freedom rings. Putin went through 4 presidents. He is tired and wasted and the federal government is calling his bluff.
