  1. > Real Madrid C. F. communicates that our captain Nacho has decided to end his career as a Real Madrid player.

    > Real Madrid wants to express its gratitude and affection for Nacho, one of the great legends of our club.

    > Nacho arrived at Real Madrid in 2001, when he was only 10 years old, and has played in all categories of our youth until he became a first team player in 2012. Since then, he has defended our shirt for 12 seasons in one of the most successful stages in the history of Real Madrid. In all this time he has played 364 games and won 26 titles: 6 European Cups, 5 Club World Cups, 4 European Super Cups, 4 Leagues, 2 King’s Cups and 5 Spanish Super Cups.

    > In addition, with the Spanish national team he was proclaimed European U-21 champion and champion of the League of Nations, and is currently competing in Euro 2024 in Germany.

    > Nacho ends his career at Real Madrid as the captain who lifted the Fifteenth in Wembley, as one of the five players who have won 6 European Cups in the entire history of football and with the largest number of titles in the history of our club.

    > All Real Madrid fans feel the utmost pride in one of the most legendary youth fans in our history.

    > The president of Real Madrid, Florentino Pérez, states that “Since he arrived at our *cantera* as a child, Nacho has always been an example of overcoming for everyone and takes the affection, recognition and admiration of all Real Madrid. Real Madrid is and will always be their home.”

    > Real Madrid wishes him and his whole family good luck in this new stage of his life.

  2. Its weird the way that he decided to leave, but ey, if it’s what he wants..

  3. Hope he could get a send off like kroos becuase he deserves it, wore that shirt with pride

  4. Sad to see him go but i can respekt they money grab, he’s not been the biggest earner and got to ens his Real Madrid career as a proper captain, CL/La Liga titles and plenty of playtime.

  5. How will we find a player who can play all 4 defensive positions and wont complain for lack of playing time?

    God I’ll miss him

  6. I’ve been coping the last few days cuz I didn’t wanna accept he’s leaving too, but now that’s it official, I have nothing but the highest amount of respect for Nacho

A legend of the club through and through, he may never have been the main star but he himself represents everything this club is about, from values to mentality and the like

I will miss him, but I’m glad in the end he fulfilled his dream and lifted the UCL as captain

  7. Unbelievable that the trophy he won the most, like nearly all of this golden generation, is the fucking UCL.

  8. Always underrated and a bonafide legend, always came in and played whatever position we needed him in.

Im glad he got to lift La Liga and CL trophies as captain before he left. He will be missed at the club.

    Gracias Capitàn!

  9. maybe the whole “he wanted kroos to have his moment” narrative was mostly copium but it’s still very much in tune with how nacho has been his entire career, selfless. we’re gonna miss him both football wise and for overall team morale. i don’t doubt he was an amazing captain to the team this year, even if he insisted it was easy because everyone is so good.

god, i’m gonna miss him…… farewell chofi 🕊️

  10. Nacho and Joselu in two consecutive days…it’s enough to make a grown man cry.

  11. Few players will ever represent Real Madrid’s values better than him. Pure and true legend.
