Russia-Ukraine War Update / A Russian Base on Fire in Kursk & $2.3B Aid from the US !

hey guys Chris here and I’m Ukrainian Canadian today is July 2nd 2024 and let’s get to the news happening in Ukraine shall we so this is going to be a very quick update and first I want to speak about another Ukrainian drone attack likely to be a drone attack on a Russian base in ksk today so based on this image that you can see on the left this is falling the attack a massive uh cloud of smoke uh came out as a result of this attack and apparently this is Russia’s Central Aviation technical military base in ksk that was attacked you can see that based on the satellite image Russia had a few military trucks what appears to be military trucks and perhaps even air defense systems that were stationed in uh in this base so I think that this was a very high value Target the ukrainians knew what they were striking and hopefully in the future in the next couple days we’ll get a confirmation that indeed most of the these uh trucks and other high value military assets that the Russians had in this base were destroyed Ukraine is not just attacking for nothing now the next news I want to present to you guys and it’s a mix of good and bad so great news is that the defense secretary Lloyd Austin hinted that the United States will provide an additional 2.3 billion yes billion dollars in security assistance to Ukraine in the next few weeks uh so this will include anti- tank weapons interceptors Munitions for Patriot and other air defense systems so really huge massive package this is the biggest one I think since the war started I don’t remember the United States providing so much foreign aid at once so this is really great um and one thing I want to mention here is that also there’s reports uh today officially the Ukrainian spoke spokesperson for the Air Force Ukraine Air Force confirms that Ukraine will fly officially within this month the first f-16s and uh the their primary objective for this month will be mostly to hunt down Russian missiles so they will be very careful as to not fly them too close to the Border because indeed we know that Russians are definitely going to prioritize the f-16s uh for their you know basically their propaganda as we’ve seen last year the Russians spun it so many times when they uh managed to unfortunately stop a Ukrainian attack during their counter offensive in early June if you guys remember it was like a convoy of Ukrainian Bradley’s about seven or six of them and two three leopards that were destroyed as a result of this Ukrainian attack and the Russian just constantly over the next uh few weeks continuously spread you know these images and videos constantly reutilizing them and recycling them for their propaganda so unfortunately this is going to be situation as well with the f-16s um you know we have to admit that there are still vulnerable machines the f-16s are not the Panacea they’re not this Ultimate Weapon that will bring down Russia they will help Ukraine in achieving greater success in their objectives their military uh battles but of course when we’re talking about only 12 f-16s for now about a dozen that Ukraine will receive within the summer it’s not enough right but of course the Russians will prioritize these f-16s to make sure that they can uh claim great victories and you know more propaganda for their own population so ukra needs to be very careful especially because of what happened this weekend in murod so murod is a city in the pava oblast in Ukraine and there is a very important military Airfield there and unfortunately the Russians were able to use ballistic missiles to the shore a few Su 27s and I think a Ukrainian helicopter as well over the Airfield if we’re looking at the map I will share with you guys the map midoro is located about 150 to 200 away from the border with Russia so not really difficult Target for the Russians what was surprising is that they were able to fly a reconnaissance drone very far away from you know their own territory all the way up to pava unnoticed by the ukrainians um and then being able to direct fire um on this military Airfield right because it was able to confirm the air assets that ukrain had present in this Airfield in the south of the city and then it’s just a matter of few minutes for the Russians to then launch launch their missiles and attack the Airfield and so unfortunately we have to recognize that Russia has those capabilities one thing that the ukrainians have noted is that um you know even a few months ago these reconnaissance drones were flying just a few hundred meters above uh in altitude so it’s easy to recognize them but now they’re able to fly them about a kilometer 2 kilm high in the air which is much more difficult uh to to find them to see them and so this allows the Russians to fly more secretly being able to p rate certain areas and then have more visibility over Ukrainian staging areas military bases and airfields so unfortunately you know I have to pass on the bad news as well is that Russia has those capabilities and so with the f-16s coming Ukraine needs to be more careful you cannot be careless these are extremely expensive modern machines that Ukraine needs to prioritize and protect at all costs because we know that with Russia’s propaganda ability to which a very effective propaganda they will try to spray lies they look at the ukrainians are incapable they’re not able to protect them West you’re wasting your time the United States are wasting your time providing them to Ukraine they will just you know uh we will discard them we’ll destroy them very easily so Ukraine needs to be careful and you know we’ve heard the reports that Ukraine apparently is building these underground structures for the f-16s and I hope it’s not midh because Mido did all look ready a few days ago following this Russian attack uh and I hope that for now the ukrain will perhaps put them more in West further away from the front line and for now just test the water see how they’re functioning how they’re operating I think that’s going to be the right way of doing it because you know putting them right at the front line is going to be a huge mistake and as we’ve seen the Russians are able very effectively to strike uh even 200 km away from the border and I’m not surprised they’ve been able to launch missiles all the way up to Western Ukraine and VI as well albe it they don’t have as many of these missiles but they’re able to do that especially with barus and belus being trampoline for the Russians as well they have multiple bases located here so the Russians can also launch whether it be jet fighters or missiles from belus to Western Ukraine so Ukraine needs to be very very careful and uh you know make sure that everything is set up uh so the f-16s are safe so you guys can let me know what you think about my comments here but this is really really important now last but not least let’s go over the last news today uh let me switch the presentation yes so let’s get to it um now an interesting visit from Hungary so Victor Orban our favorite Trojan Horse within European Union came uh to visit zalinsky today and now he’s mentioned that he’s ready to agree on bilateral relations that he’s ready to support Ukraine’s modernization of its economy right he’s really making a lot of pro-ukrainian comments but that’s really surprising from a president or government that’s been mostly Pro Russian right they’ve been blocking everything left and right that is even remotely uh to help Ukraine so we need to be very careful with this strojan horse and we need to be wary of his comments that now you know or hung somehow is now Pro Ukrainian ready to help the Ukrainian people I have to admit dialogue needs to happen between you know with Pro Russian governments whether it be Hungary Slovakia even turkey to a certain extent we have India which is pursuing uh you know a policy of non-alignment China dialogue need needs to continue happening right we cannot shut these doors however they are not to be trusted and Hungary as I’ve mentioned previously threw Ukraine multiple times under the bus so I believe that aside from all of these announcements from zalinski and Orban that now you know he’s also said that they’re considering to do something with regards to a ceasefire you know he’s you know giving some proposals to zansky apparently to initiate a ceasefire um I think that the real purpose of this meeting was actually Orban coming with a message from either Putin or even Trump right because we know that Orban actually met Trump a few months ago so perhaps he came with a secret proposal to zalinski uh so we’ll have to see what happens in the next few weeks but uh definitely there were some other things discussed behind closed doors that we don’t know of and I think that perhaps this could be you know a meeting uh that is also involving some messages being sent out by the Kremlin or by you know Trump’s uh Trump’s you know Administration or ex Administration and himself as well so you guys can let me know what you think here but we need to be very careful with these you know feel-good stories and now Hungary somehow Pro Ukrainian I seriously doubt it and I think that Victor Orban is just pursuing a you know this sort of very um sly kind of political game you right where he’s not allying himself with anybody but he’s definitely more Prussian but he’s trying to win some cookies as well on the side if he can get some so that’s the update for today guys uh I hope you enjoyed it actually before I   2. Obviously Ukrainian pilots need time to master these F-16’s so start with simple assignments. Never trust Orban! No ceasefire, it will only benefit Russia.

  4. Bad news that they got some of Ukraine's aviation assets. Lets hope the west can replace them in numbers to make the difference. Ukraine should be allowed to base the new jets in Romania and Poland. My fingers are crossed the the western powers have the spine to permit this essential advantage. Russia wouldn't dare attack a NATO airbase especially now they are realising the reality of their situation,

  5. The thing that makes me so mad is that it’s not anything about Russia that has me so worried right now. It’s people on our own side in the West who are supporting Russia and undermining Ukraine. If it wasn’t for traitors like Donald Trump or Pierre Poilievre in our country who backstab Ukraine, I wouldn’t be worried at all. I’d be sure that Russia is going to lose. The news yesterday that they’re going to give Trump Presidential immunity yesterday made me snap. Think about all of the people fighting for our freedom right now and most people are voting to take it away at home.

  7. Ukraine is going to lose some F16s. People need to learn how to accept that. No matter how advanced a weapon platform may be, there is always a counter weapon designed to defeat it. The real question pertains to how much of an effect the F16s will have on the overall war. On that, I hope we will see some great news over time.

    He is a Putin ally and is no friend to Ukraine.
    Rather, he is out to obtain valuable intelligence to use against Ukraine.
    Putin is continuously planning to assassinate Zelinskìi.
    It is imperative Orban be removed from the scenario by his opponents.

Ukraine is slightly smaller than Texas and Fuhrer Putin wants to slice 90,000 sq kms (35,000 sq miles) or aprox 15% of Ukraine land for himself for his so called "ceasefire plan" which also includes dis-arming Ukraine of their military force and an agreement never to be accepted into NATO which is absolutetl absurd (note also :Trump thinks is a wonderful Deal)
    Fuhrer Putin is or modern day Hitler and just like Hitler he should be crushed of his imperialistic ambitions to seize territory from a democratic country in this modern day world where land borders were set in concrete post WW2. If he is allowed to get away with Genocide then the world is facing a very grim future where anarchy will be rampant lead by evil Dictators

  22. Is it so strange for Hungary to suddenly be friendly? Maybe their latest economic assessment is that Russia will be a poor trade partner in the future and Ukraine will be producing the most advanced arms which they would like to obtain once Ukraine begins their export business.

    At the same time, he is kind of mediocre, and can be manipulated, and used to manipulate Moscow, or at least used to feed things to the Kremlin.
    At some point in the future, he shall be transferred to Den Hague, along with Putin, and sentenced for lifetime. A disgusting being, he is.

  27. You always talk about the F-16's as vulnerable equipment, as they are. But you never mention just how far more valuable the pilots are that fly the F-16s. If anything, THAT would be the real loss if one get's shot down. Those are the assets that need to be protected.

  29. I was in the pub a few days ago watching the football. About 300 people were watching the England match, and at halftime, there was a news bulletin about the war, and Russia claiming to have killed 2000 Ukrainians and 200 artillery pieces in one day. The entire pub just burst out laughing and started chanting fk you Putin over and over. Everything the Kremlin says is laughed at now. The Kremlin has turned themselves into the but of everyone joke all over the world🤡🤡

  31. Very smart to remind people to pump their brakes a little on the prospect of F-16s being lost. It’s inevitable. I have to admit in June 2023 even I felt a little demoralized by all of the propaganda that followed after the first tank losses. They just shove soo much of it down our throats. That’s why it’s good to disconnect from social media from time to time, and the war also. But after learning how Russian propaganda works. And that it’s ALL about over stimulation, desensitizing and demoralizing people. And making people apathetic to issues, and current events to the point they don’t believe anything. And that you don’t wanna be involved in geopolitics and politics locally at all. This why Russian propaganda not only will hit you with the same negative stories over and over, but they will also add random second and third theories so even if you feel you know the truth those other three theories are also in the back of your head. Making things cloudy. For instance the Kakhovka dam, everyone knows Russia did it because of the upcoming counter offensive that was due to start any day. But also because dams like that aren’t going to be destroyed so throughly by artillery. It has to be placed inside of the structure at weak points and Russia controlled the dam. But after it happened you heard, “why would Russia do that, it “hurts” their controlled areas?” by Tucker. Then it may have deteriorated naturally! Along with Ukraine did it, Russia did it but they had to etc!
