  2. Because he can adapt to any playing style and can play more than one position. He is also great at pressing and stretching the defense. Finishing is his weakness but he will still always give you double digit goals and plenty of assists. The hate he gets is absurd and not at all in line with his overall game play

    “I follow Juve bc I have friends in Italy. The fans really liked him, especially as a supporting player – second striker or even winger.

    He’s doesn’t have the ruthlessness to finish consistently or be a poacher, but he is very good at other things to be a great player. He excelled with Tevez and later Vlahovic. He’s strong, quick, and a great dribbler.

    He cannot be a lone striker though. He prefers to be running at people and the goal, not to be with his back to goal or hanging on the CB’s shoulder.”

  5. People buy into the english narrative way too easily. The only club he never performed at was Chelsea. Even then he wasnt even that bad. 26 goal contributions in 2 seasons is more than anyone in Chelseas’ current team besides Palmer.

    In every other team he’s contributed to at least 20-30 goals EVERY SEASON since he left Chelsea. Minimum 15-20 goals with 5-10 assists for 5 straight seasons. People who think Morata sucks literally have 0 ball knowledge of the actual game.

  7. I think he can fill Zirkzee role for Motta very well. Morata outside scoring is an amazing player. Spain underappreciates that too.
