can they fill 38k? seems like they couldn’t fill existing 20k stadium
38k for Empoli is insane
The capacity is 18k not 38k hahaha
Average attendance 10861 according to transfermarkt.
Do they have a huge fan base outside of Empoli? 38k capacity for a town with 48k population seems optimistic to say the least…
Edit: okey so red a few replies that’s it’s 18k, not 48k.
It’s also a renovation, not a new stadium. Capacity increasing from 16k to 18.6k.
UPDATE: IT’S A RENOVATION, NOT A NEW STADIUM. AND THE NEW CAPACITY OF THE RENOVATED STADIUM WILL ALSO BE 18K AND NOT 38K AS IFTV WAS WRONGLY CLAMING.
Shit article. This does nothing for Serie A until the bureacunts give up control of stadiums. The idiocy & greed behind not giving teams their own stadiums is insane. It’s like giving up thousands of dollars the municipality can earn through taxes instead of the pennies they get through leasing it out. The amount of revenue a club can earn through its development plan will in turn give more taxes to the municipality. These people are idiots!
Will they own it themself?
We’re renders master, let’s see if the project move forward. Surely artistic superintendence in this case won’t do so much, it’s almost pipes and rods that stadium.
Bravo 👏🏽 forget Empoli! Don’t get me wrong I love the idea of upgrading BUT – there is just something about minimal technology / concessions and smoking inside a stadium that feels normal. The over commercialization at some stadiums in USA is wild to me. Maybe it’s just me
In Italy 3 years actually means over 5 years and even as much as 10.
So hold on. Are they getting a NEW stadium? Or are they “renovating” ie giving a new coat of paint to the old stadium?
