He said that Ukrainians are nop enemies, they are good people, and peace talks should start soon.

  6. After the NATO summit, I believe that Poland is going to step up it's role and commitment, and may have had a "talk" with Lukashenko or used incentives to sway his position on Ukraine.

    Lukashenko, still remaining alive in Belarus which is known to have a lot of russian symphatizers and otherwise very corrupt system, kinda tells something.

  20. Luka is in a corner. Belarusians hate his ass including top people in the military. The only reason he is in power is because of putin and as soon as putin is done with him he's screwed. Obviously dont trust Lukashenko but also i wouldn't be surprised if he is starting to understand which way the wind is blowing and is looking for a way out that doesn't involve getting the Gaddafi treatment.

  29. Lukashenko is changing his tune because Russia can't afford to give him his allowance anymore so if there is nothing in it for him he sees that he needs to try and maybe cozy up to the west LOL funny really.

  34. Treaties Russia signed to respect the independence and the borders of Ukraine. For example:

    1) The Minsk Agreement (December 1991)

    2) The Budapest Memorandum (1994)

    3) The Treaty on Friendship, Cooperation, and Partnership between Ukraine and the Russian Federation (1997)

    4) The Partition Treaty on the Status and Conditions of the Black Sea Fleet (1997) – Russia's illegal annexation of Crimea was in violation of this one and of the extension from 2010

    In exchange for giving up their nukes, the U.S., the U.K. and Russia would guarantee Ukraine's security in a 1994 agreement known as the Budapest Memorandum. After the Soviet Union collapsed Ukraine was the third largest nuclear power in the world for a short time. Russia attacked a sovereign Ukraine twice. Their words mean nothing.

  35. If Lukashenko is distancing from Putin based on predictions of future western support, he's not thinking clearly. Trump is just about certain to win if Biden stays in the race. And that means US support will stop. At that point, Ukraine would be forced to sue for peace on Putin's terms.
