Who are the youngsters to watch for besides the obvious Rico and Bobb

  1. Is the rest of the squad joining up in the tour at some point? Barely any senior players.

  2. Pep got bored of winning with World Class players so he’s gonna cook with academy players now

  3. Perrone, Ndala, and O’reilly are my top 3 imo. Wright, susoho, heskey, and galvez are also pretty good. Mfuni (16) was pretty good for the u18s too.

  4. Saw perrone against real Madrid in the second half I thought his passing play was nice would love to see what he can do given some slack off from defending.

  5. Definitely a few names in there I thought we’d actually sold last year. Thought Doyle, Wilson-Esbrand and Perrone were already out the door.

  6. Anyone know what’s been going on with players like Ben Knight and mbete who seem to have been around for years and never actually done anything?

Still any promise left for them?

  7. Nico O’Reilly. Was the best in the “next up” group before his knee injury. Perrone had a good year last year so I’m excited to see how he does because when he played for us he was very tentative.

  8. Well they’re all pretty good! such is the system at City.

For me personally I’m interested in seeing Perrone and Doyle. Perrone is the 21yo DM we loaned to Las Palmas last season, did pretty well, likely to get loaned out again but I’m keen to see how he progressed. It feels more like a CFG signing that we will move on in future but you never know.
Doyle is the 20yo CB that got loans to Sunderland, Coventry then last year Leicester and did really well at all of them. It’s been difficult to get young defenders through into the team for a while, Lewis is the closest we’ve come I think and he’s almost more of a midfielder anyway. He seems to be going to Norwich next season on another loan but we aren’t giving them any buy options so we seem to be closely tracking him with a view to maybe getting him involved. So I hope he really shows out. I was hoping he’d get a Prem loan but alas.

Hamilton, Ndala, Susoho and Oboavwuduo all seem pretty promising from what I’ve seen.

Feels like it’ll be very hard for Wilson-Esbrand or Mbete to make it here. Even though Mbete is still only 20yo, feels like he’s been around a lot. But those two were the promising youngsters 2-3 years ago who haven’t quite ‘done’ it yet. Had a disappointing loan or two. Still both very young, both can still be great but at the level City are, we’re looking for like, diamonds to get near our first team. Like Lewis or Bobb.

  9. Anyone going to the Man City-Celtic game in Chapel Hill?

I went to school there, and saw He’s Not Here is doing a collaborative blue cup with Man City. I would love to get a cup but I now live in Los Angeles. I’ll pay for two blue cups and shipping. That way you can still get a blue cup, I get a blue cup, you get two beers or share with a friend.

  10. Probably the EDS players who have made their debut: Wright, Sushoho and Hamilton. I’d add Nico O’Riley because he’s been training with the senior squad for a long time now. Sadly I don’t think many of the other youngsters are likely to feature in the first team anytime soon

  11. Also where’s Max Alleyne? He’s been on the bench a few times, is he injured? I’d have thought he’d be selected

  12. Going to the game in NYC and it’s the first time I get to see the team in person after 10 years of being a fan. Oh well

  13. Kalvin Phillips is the next big thing according to Gareth Southgate
